In fact, a large number of third world countries (such as India) have much lower labor costs than China, but the prices of their products are higher than those of China, or they have no manufacturing capacity at all. I live in Serbia and Chinese markets are here for more than 30 years... And i learned one crucial thing when i buy their products 1. Made in China. (bad product =made by amateur company) 2. Made in PRC (People Republic of China) = good product approved by government 3. Made in Hong Kong (Great product but extremely rare to find)

It is actually explained in serious finance literature. Asian countries like China, Korea, and Japan have come across to the fact that in order to avoid strikes, protests, and questions to the government. Companies have to flourish by all means. One way they found of how to do that is through subsidies, even if companies are underperforming or non competitive anymore. This leads to a fake sense of innovation that is not sustainable.
