Part I of a two part episode of our "Inside the History" series focuses on the 16"45 caliber MK 6 gun's projectile handling and stowage systems on USS Massachusetts, their operation, and historical use. Battleship Gunner's Mate Tom Lowney discusses the operation, comparisons to the Iowa-class 16"50, and manpower utilized on South Dakota-class battleships.

I was never in the Navy, but if I was, I'd definitely want Tom to be on my side! Such a good story teller and with infinite knowledge of all the turrets systems. Subscribed

The questions I have is with New York Class what is the difference with the 14 Inch loading compared to loading the 16 inch. The second question I have is what safety features does Big Maime have from the lessons that were learned from the battle of Jutland
