In Bron’s early years in Cleveland he was a victim of his own success. He improved the team record and as a result didn’t get draft picks like Jordan did when the bulls landed Pippen at #5 in 1987 as well as Horace Grant at #10 which changed everything for the bulls.

Fun/sad bit of irony with the history of draft picks. LA Lakers got #1 pick James Worthy after wining a championship. The reason... Cleveland Cavs. They were so bad with dealing with draft picks when they got them, the NBA had to change the rules on draft pick deals. That's the organization Lebron had to save.

Man all I know is the top guys we talk about in terms of the GOAT argument, all had good coaches and systems. People can talk that stupid shit and act like hes played with great coaches, but he's never had a Pop or a Phil Jackson. These are 2 coaches that elevated the play of there players. Jordan nor Kobe win as much as they did without the triangle. Idc what anyone says. They didn't play winning basketball. They were the type that would score a lot of points but would ultimately lose. I could only imagine how good LeBron would be with coaches like them.

@@L4-295 FINALLY SOMEONE WITH A NON-CASUAL LEVEL OF HOOP IQ points this out! I said the same shit when I would see lebron running actions during the finals, he seemed to get to similar spots TP would but spurs would blow up the play... fast forward to recently Robert Horry pretty much said the reason the finals was so easy was because Mike bonehead Brown was running Spurs sets (from his time as a Spurs assistant) vs the Cavs! "how you gonna run floppy down against us, thats our play!" So aside from the only other person that could handle the ball and create off the dribble, Larry Hughes, missing the finals, only play 2 minutes the whole series, that variable pretty much doomed lebron to a healthy dose of traps, collapses, and hard doubles and triples. Similar to how GS defended lebron in 2015, when Kyrie and Kevin were injured. Doesnt work well with full personnel on the court though

Them games where close they wasn't no blowouts because the cavs were a great defensive team. He def didn't have no help offensively but he shot the worst and didn't play up to his potential. If he played like he played the round before against Detroit than they beat the Spurs easily that's how great LeBron is but he couldn't hit the jumpers when it counted. This is not NBA 2k were if you shoot a good percentage everythings gonna be alright. Playoffs are about adjustments. The reason LeBron did what he did to the other teams were because they didn't make him exclusively a jump shooter. And while that wasn't in his bag then, he was still good enough to average 22 7 and 7 in the finals. And did you really say Gibson was a solid performer. I looked at his averages for the series and he averaged 10.8 points. Really, so wht happened in games 2, 3 and 4. Owe yean the player he was guarding on the other end averaged 25 pts and shot 60 percent from the field. Gibsons scored almost exlusively off of Brons assists. Wizards had two all stars even after Gil went down, the nets had 2 all stars with another 20+ scorer. The pistons had 3 all stars while being the staple of the conference. All these teams also had winning records. The 41 win need beat the 47 Win raptors to even make the second round. Wade also had allstar Shaq the year before & good all around team.

@@TheProtagonistmedia bro the games were close . They lost one game by 1 one by 3 and the other two by nine that were winnable. They played great defense. LeBron teammates didn't show up n he didn't either offensively. He averaged 22 points and shot 34 percent from field. They could've beat Spurs if he played like he did in round before against Detroit. Detroit was just as good as San Antonio at that time.
