I was so happy to finally go inside the famous Irish Bayou Castle! It was really beautiful and would be so cool to either live in or use it as a place to stay from time to time. To whomever ends up buying it, enjoy! Thanks for watching 🏰

My grandparents Jean and Charlie used to own this castle! I grew up here, definitely some of my fondest memories.

When I was a child in the 80s we would go to my grandmother's house in Florida three times a year. When we drove by my mother always said, "Look at the castle and pyramid." I would daydream about them, the interior, and who built them. Knowing the inside is as beautiful as the outside makes me happy... and a bit jealous.

This is wonderful. As some of the post mentioned, I to have passed by the “Castle” as a small child and still do at the age of 46. I’d always wanted to go inside. The imagination can run rampant when spotting this little castle. Thank you for answering everyone’s curiosity ! 🧜♀️🏰

Thanks for the tour! I would drive by it twice everyday to work in NOLA and back home in Slidell. Now that I've seen the inside, I don't think I could truly live there. They should turn into a small event center if the zoning allows it.

I drove past it for a number of years. Has it been shored up? I could have sworn in the early 2000’s it had a noticeable lean, as if one end was sinking.

I believe at the time of filming, around 500k but that included the property across the street I think

They want a half a million for that. Apparently the realtor is not liking the attention that the listing is getting, but come on. What would she expect? In case anyone was wondering about the pricing. $379 sq/ft.
@NOLADEEJ4 ай бұрын
In fairness the price includes the property across the street (with unfinished house) from it as well.. or it did at one point
@ekitten023 ай бұрын
@NOLADEEJ The listing states 2 for 1 but doesnt provide photos of the other building nor photos of the interior. Something must have happened since last Nov.

Cool house but you need to show more that staircases and ceilings unless that suit of armor was the stove and the kitchen only had 1 chair a toilet that house can't be worth much
