I'm so old I can remember going there way back when there was no talk of ghosts, nor for that matter much mention even of enslaved people. I find it interesting how things change.

Be careful in those buildings. Unfortunately the homeless population has increased around here and they seem to be setting up resistance in Marrero and in those buildings.

The place is super haunted, I went for a tour before the haunted houses started on year and had a few experiences.. downstairs a someone grabbed my hand and seemed to be a child.. also on the main floor I saw a massive shadow pass in front of a monitor tv screen. I caught a photo of the massive shadow, crazyyyy!

I know who owns the house of the rising sun. Is 828 St. Louis st. The last place he showed on this video. My mother is actually inside of if and cleaning it as I type this, hints to why I’m on this video. I’ve seen the inside of the place and how it all looks. Very much the real deal…

All the furniture, desks, the building itself, the property and everything else, probably values in the millions of dollars just wasted. Sad. Our fate is sealed.

Best chicken ever. For some reason, the closer to New Orleans the better it gets. Canal St. Popeyes is always great. His racing boat yard was next to my apartment in Bucktown and his house was my in-laws neighbor in Mandeville. No, they never complained.

I used to go here growing up in the 70’s. We used to catch the boat shuttle that would bring us across the river to another base so we could go swimming. Every summer that’s all we’d do . Hang out with other Military brats. So many great memories here. ❤ Thanks for sharing.

Its sickens me to see so many large buildings like this all over the country go to waste. There are so many homeless that places like these could have been transformed into affordable housing. The money they just throw at shelters could have been used to redo these places for housing.
