It's a era of 2024 BAPS has a network of around 1,550 temples across the world, including the Akshardham temples in New Delhi and Gandhinagar, and Swaminarayan temples in London, Houston, Chicago, Atlanta, Toronto, Los Angeles, and Nairobi. It also runs 3,850 centres and 17,000 weekly assemblies globally. So how it's possible in one place force labour labour issue came. if a labour come to US and if he get 500 dollars 💸 💵 💲 also but when he convert to India currency then it's a good salary so I don't think any labour who get food accommodation in free and getting paid also so where is the issue of force labour comes. In India labour cost is too cheap so no labour can say he got less money or force labour. its purely local hardliners agenda because ty don't wanted that any temple should allowed allowed t build temple in there place because of some misconceptions. Later after temple completion now they are supporting that temple 🛕 because social activity got increase in that area which gives lot of economic benefits to local people also.😮😮

The charges were against labour contractor. All the charges of forced labour were dropped. The skilled labourers accepted that the lawyer lady told them that if they blame it like this court case will last a lifetime and they can live in the USA till then. So they got ready to sue.

Regarding the controversy their is a lobby in usa of extreme left people who are from India in usa who want to demonise and sabotage hinduism in west. I know the advocate who filed the case and pushed some of the volunteers to fight against the baps authority in return to get large sum of compensation. The advocate is also extreme left and is Indian too. After some time the volunteers came to know their agenda and withdraw the case but the lobby succeeded in creating a controversy and puting hinduism in bad light.

Baps already build many temple all over the world recently in 🇦🇪 UAE also. But this type of controversy 1st time happened because of some local hardliners of that place who doesn't want baps to build temple on that location because they where thinking that it will disturb there village area peace. But after baps came now local people are happy because lot of social economic activity is happing and even they are getting benefits local business even government get taxes too. BAPS has a network of around 1,550 temples across the world, including the Akshardham temples in New Delhi and Gandhinagar, and Swaminarayan temples in London, Houston, Chicago, Atlanta, Toronto, Los Angeles, and Nairobi. I am an atheist but still have place in hinduism, culturally i am a hindu. Not all hindu believe in Swaminarayan some view him as an avatar of god while some see him as a guru(teacher) or yogi. Some believe him an avatar of brahma. Mainly hindus from Gujarat(his last place after travelling across India) were his first followers which grew in last few decades. Other hindus respect him for his teachings and sacrifice (may not view him as avatar but as a guru). Hinduism dont have one central book or authority, across india people follow it according to their local customs and belief. As an atheist( or nastik hindu) i too go to temples because it is our culture and it is beautiful.

Some thoughts: 1) you probably weren’t able to get a real answer in part because this sect probably is wary of the press or outside media given the yellow journalism it was subjected to. 2) it’s been 4 years with no charges pressed, several plaintiffs withdrew saying they were pressured into making statements against the temple and told that they would get US residency for speaking against the temple 3) the damage is done - even without being found guilty it will forever be tarnished as being built by “Slave labor.” Like the Cisco case (which completely fell apart), the allegation was the point - destroy their reputation without any chance to fight back in the media

Hinduism in India is referred as Sanatan means eternal, which was,is and will be until the end of every single life, according to ancient Indian scriptures, every soul born in the form of life is part of that eternal divine . And In Sanatan dharm(religion) we are not bound by any belief system like you have to follow some god in order to follow our religion, you are free to decide to follow or not to follow or you can follow your favourite god. There are many gods in our culture who are forms of one eternal god, there are different forms created so that people can relate to them, even though everyone can worship different gods one thing is common that people need to find themselves in order to find god....and elephants are important in our culture cause they are auspicious and symbolic of good fortune thats why the elephant sculptures are there and in same way different animals and birds are carved

The guys mentioned in the lawsuit said there were threatened with incarceration and got scared that they will never be able to go back home to India. These entire lawsuit was dropped when these volunteers found their own lawyer to represent their interests. But people now only remember the controversy!!! I guess that was the whole purpose! No one reported the entire lawsuit was baseless!! There is a huge anti Hindu lobby in the west trying to discredit everything related to Hinduism. They saw an amazing building and just wanted to discredit it with some controversy! Why did the lawsuit not stick if the accusations were real?

First of all there nothing like Hinduism exists , the term hindu gave by foreigners as an umbrella term for all kind of practise of India. India is as big Europe and most populated nation, and that gave rise 1000s of beliefs, let me share few of them. The six Darshanas, also known as the six schools of Indian philosophy, are: 1) Samkhya: Founded by Kapila Muni, Samkhya is a rationalist school of philosophy that denies the existence of God and believes in the dual existence of Purusha (consciousness) and Prakriti (matter) 2)Yoga: Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras form the basis of this school. It emphasizes meditation and moral virtues as means to liberation12. 3) Nyaya: Founded by Gautama Rishi, Nyaya is the school of logic and epistemology. It believes in a systematic investigation of the nature of things through logic 4) Vaisheshika: Founded by Kanada Rishi, Vaisheshika is a naturalist school of atomism and believes in a detailed enumeration of the universe’s physical realities 5) Mimamsa: Jaimini’s Mimamsa Sutras form the basis of this school. It emphasizes the ritualistic aspects of the Vedas and the power of the mantras 6 ) Vedanta: Based on the Brahma Sutras of Badarayana or Vyasa, Vedanta is the school of Upanishadic philosophy. It explores the concepts of Brahman (ultimate reality) and Atman (individual soul) These six schools of thought offer unique perspectives and paths towards the ultimate reality, each with its own philosophical underpinnings As for the great philosophies of ancient India, they include both orthodox (astika) systems, namely, the Nyaya, Vaisheshika, Samkhya, Yoga, Purva-Mimamsa (or Mimamsa), and Vedanta schools of philosophy, and unorthodox (nastika) systems, such as Buddhism and Jainism3. These philosophies have been concerned with various philosophical problems, significant among which are the nature of the world (cosmology), the nature of reality (metaphysics), logic, the nature of knowledge (epistemology), ethics, and the philosophy of religion --->Ancient India was home to several schools of thought that did not believe in the existence of God. Here are some of them: 1) Charvaka (Lokayata): This school of Indian materialism is considered one of the atheistic schools in the Hindu tradition. It rejected the authority of the Vedas and the notion of an afterlife, advocating for a hedonistic life 2) Samkhya: While it is an orthodox (Astika) school of Hindu philosophy, Samkhya denies the existence of God or any other exterior influence. However, unlike other atheist schools of thought, it did not deny the existence of all things transcendent 3) Purva Mimamsa: This school, while accepting the authority of the Vedas, typically rejects a personal god, creator god, or a god with attributes 4 ) Ajñana: This was a skeptical school of ancient Indian philosophy. The Ajñana were the skeptics of their time and questioned the reliability of all sources of knowledge 5) Buddhism and Jainism: While these are not typically classified as atheistic schools, they do not advocate for the worship of gods and instead focus on personal spiritual development 6) Nagarjuna, who lived around the 2nd century CE, is widely considered one of the most important Buddhist philosophers. He is traditionally regarded as the founder of the Madhyamaka (“Middle Way”) school, an important tradition of Mahayana Buddhist philosophy Here are some key teachings of Nagarjuna: Doctrine of Emptiness (Shunyata): Nagarjuna is best known for his doctrine of emptiness (shunyata), which he developed in his most famous work, the Mulamadhyamakakarika (“Fundamental Verses on the Middle Way”). This doctrine asserts that all phenomena are empty of “self-nature” or “essence”, meaning they have no independent reality apart from the causes and conditions from which they arise Two Truths Doctrine: Nagarjuna proposed the Two Truths Doctrine, which differentiates between conventional truth (the reality we experience in everyday life) and ultimate truth (the ultimate reality as understood by enlightened minds). Dependent Origination: Nagarjuna emphasized the concept of dependent origination, which states that all phenomena arise in dependence upon other phenomena Madhyamaka Philosophy: Nagarjuna’s Madhyamaka philosophy rejects all philosophical views and propositions, arguing that accepting any of them as ultimately true leads to suffering Mahayana Buddhism: Nagarjuna was a proponent of the Mahayana school, which emphasizes the idea of the bodhisattva, or one who seeks to become a Buddha. He defended the Mahayana sutras as the authentic word of the Buddha. Nagarjuna’s teachings have had a profound influence on the development of Buddhist thought, not only in India but also in East Asia and Tibet

What did Krishna say to his devotees? Lord Krishna in verse 66 of Chapter 18 says, "Offer all your responsibilities unto me. Surrender your complete self-unto only Me, the omnipotent, the omniscient, and the omnipresent. I will relieve you from all sinful results; do not be depressed." What Krishna says about difficult times? Lord Krishna Said, God is supreme and omnipresent. During adverse situations, your near and dear ones may leave you, however, I will be always with you, my love is unconditional. So, perform every action as my action with love.

Many kingdoms and rulers then tried to build on these practices by building temples, worshipping more commonly, etc. but they failed to stop Muslim invaders from Persia telling to spread their religion, who looted everything killing every village and ra@ing woman and widows and children. That was when dark time started in Indian subcontinent. Through many hindu kings tried their best in stopping them, but the invaders destroyed libraries, universities. Classic Muslims

I just visited the temple this week. As someone who identifies as culturally hindu, I was impressed by the architecture. I would recommend going once to check it out. At the same time, I felt 0 spiritual connection there. There wasn't a mandir ki ghanti, prasad, a pundit, or all the typical things you would find in a temple. It just felt like a tourist attraction and there was places (food machines and in front of each religious idol) asking for donations. I feel deeply connected to many religious places that I have visited before across the world, including Buddhist stupas, Catholic churches, muslim dargahs, hindu temples (large and small), etc., but for some reason something just feels cold and disconnected about this place. Not trying to incite any further controversy, but I'm just stating my personal sentiment.

The concept of God in Sanatana Dharma is different. First of all one have to restructure the idea of God. We use the term "Brahman", its the ultimate reality or consciousness. Its neither good nor bad, its beyond duality. The goal of the people is to literally merge back to Brahman its called Moksha, there are many ways to achieve this, Karma Yoga: one doesn't have to subscribe the idea pf God but doing good job and helping others without any biases or expect something in return. Bakthi Yoga: the path of Devotion. Raja yoga : Path of meditation. Jhana yoga : path of knowledge, the knowledge of the self. Detachment to the material pleasures and pain. One can choose any or mix according to their nature. Brahman the ultimate consciousness took 3 major forms Brahma (the creator), Vishnu ( the preserver), Shiva (the destroyer) from them other Gods etc were created. Countless universes are created, preserved and destroyed this cycle continues forever, thus time in Hinduism is in cycles non linear. Vishnu and Shiva are constant in all universes and are permanent in nature without death, but Brahma is different across the universes and when he dies the respective universe ends with him. Our universe is created by 4headed Brahma, currently we are in the 51st year of Brahma ( ie approximately over 155 trillion human years). When Brahma reaches 100 he dies together with our universe. In our universe created by Brahma there are 14 realms of existence. Brahma lives in the 1st and upper most realm. Earth is in the 7th realm. Heaven is in the 5th realm. The spirituality decreases as we move down to earthly realm and further decreases as we movie towards 14. Enlightened beings can move through these realms, so the yogis, Rishis after attaining union with Brahman can access beyond our realm. Such humans or other beings who achieved the union is basically self aware of their true self as the same reality as the Brahman so they are not bound by materiality or the intellect or ego.

@@alessiallaman hope this gives a general idea of what Sanatan Dharma is. The scriptures are vast and detailed on each and every aspect. So many find it difficult to understand, the traditions. Even the temple is built according to the scriptures of Agamas and Vastushastra it's very detailed on how a temple should be built, the consecration of the deities etc. Temples are a means to connect with the preferred deities. So there are various mantras, Yantras and Tantras used to connect with the consciousness of the deities to that place. After the rituals the temple then will be considered as the earthly body of the Deity. So the temple rules are different based on the nature of the deities. Basically there are no similar temples in the culture and the architecture varies considerably. Akshardham temple uses Nagara stone architecture. There are 3 major stone architectures used to build temples like Nagara, Dravida, Vesara. There are many minor ones with stones, wood etc.

If you want to understand Hinduism I would say one life time is also not enough..and majority of Hindus wont be able to tell u much as they dont know themselves about their religion...thats how vast Hinduism is...but if i have to tell u in short about Hinduism....Its about Worshipping Nature and it's creations in all it's forms as worshipping is the highest form of respect we give to the ones we worship and is also a way to express our Gratitudes to God and Mother Nature for all her creations..and the logic behind this is...we do not think of destroying what is worshippable for us so Ancient Indians being worshippers of Nature were also protectors of Nature while we the modern people of today have become destroyers of Nature because we stopped worshipping Nature the way our anscestors use to...and the basic principle on which Hinduism is based on is Karma

I see that extreme left lobby of india had put a mark on this temple by stirring up controversies. What did they prove? Nothjng Infact the plaintiffs signatures are taken on false pretense. And some of them were threatened too. But at the end its sad to see that no amends were taken to completely get back the reputation. Sometimes you dont need swords all you need is. People's trust and play with it. If I label all leftists of india are not taken seriously you would be saying I am an extremist. But you can see the result of living with leftist ideology.

You see Hinduism itself is already a Capitalism infused religion. Not sure if other faiths spend money for worshipping, for example, in order for someone to pray@ any temple, one has to buy insense sticks(Agarbatti), flowers, fruits for the offerings for the specific god/goddess you're going for. And if its a mega festival like the Durga Puja that happens every October you gotta buy costumes too like the saree, Food staples like rice, 🥥 🍊 🍇 🍌🌾 and commercial establishments also donate the organizers anywhere around $5K to $10K+
