I became a Mack lover in 2015. I was in a 2014 fully equipped Mack Pinnacle. Loved that truck so much. Before that I was in a 2014 Peterbilt with Regin problem. I got so tired of that crap and a buddy convinced me to get in the Mack and afterwards I’ve been a big fan. Later I’m looking to go O/O and as bad as I want to go cheap in truck price, I want to find a decent truck but if it’s possible, this truck or the 2017 will be the truck I’ll definitely buy, if possible.

Looks nice..but poorly made interior compared to most European trucks. The place they win is in the sleeping compartment - there's more space. I don't have much experience of American trucks, but I'd like a sit and a drive in this..or a Western Star, just to see what they're like. The Scania V8 R series are my all time Favourites. Nice review, thumbs up.

The main reason I bought my Volvo is for that communication system I like the fact that I can call him and be like what’s going on with this check engine light and for the most part they’ve been spot on I could go to the dealer and say hey I got this going on I need to get it taken care of

I drive the Mack Anthem and the headlight design is faulty, my front turn signals went bad, that they had to replace both headlights because the amber LED’s started malfunctioning. Bad design by Mack.

I’d like to have one. Then I’ll take it all across the country to find its greatness or flaws. I drive a Volvo VNL, not enough space to put my clothes and food supply. No space for my coffee maker and other small appliances I need for the road, maneuverability is great but cruise control disengages when I hit road joints on bridges and small bumps on the road. Drove a T680 too, not too comfortable driving it as I have a hard time adjusting the seats and steering wheel to my needs, dash layout and shifter needs more work. Drove a freight liner too, scared the heck out of me on the I-80 going to Salt Lake City, scared the heck out of me too up in Oregon. I’m looking for that perfect blend of comfort convenience safety and maneuverability in a highway truck. Any recommendations?

There are so many things the "suits" missed on the Anthem. The biggest is hiding the important gauges behind the steering wheel. The hazard flasher switch could only be less convenient if they had put in the sleeper. Having to take my small hands off the steering wheel to reach the turn signal/dimmer lever. They should have taken Volvo's lead and taken the automatic transmission controls off the dash (This is not a push button Dodge) and put them on a lever next to the seat like the Volvo. Why not a kick down switch under the throttle pedal? The mirrors need to be moved forward about 6 inches so traffic approaching from the sides can be seen without having to lean backwards. I could go on and on, but I'll stop here.

Mack, and all the truck manufactures make the same mistake by rebuilding the truck from the ground up. They throw the baby out with the bathwater every time. They don't stop to see what works, and what doesn't, so they make the same mistakes over and over again.

They say that ground up bs just so you don’t compare it to the later models. I drove the vision before and that truck road a lot nicer than this ground up shit. When will Mack make a truck with room behind the wheel? The vision front seat was all up in the dash without and chance to recline. The anthem is almost as bad. What’s the deal with the steering wheel? Did they actually drive one of these with a trailer on it?
