I realize this video is 10 months old but the question about what I would change in the Philippines is interesting. I've only been there a few times for a couple weeks at a time. I've been to Boracay, El Nido, Mt Mayon and around Bicol, Manila and metro Manila up north to Manawog to the Church, Batangas, Tagaytay and other places. As far as my thoughts about the your question is mind my own business but I would say., Help with Health care and public assistance could help. No chance I am waiting months to sleep together. But...in the US...at least in Indianapolis Indiana (Midwest) and Myrtle Beach South Carolina (southeast coast)... where my homes are located...I have friends with benefits (FWB). Which is basically getting together, doing something fun(dinner/concert/vacation/etc), sex...then you don't see them again for weeks. It's not terribly fulfilling. And leaves much to be desired. However... it's the way it is. I don't care for it....but it's better than nothing. In my experience... everything is better when shared. So I am grateful for the companionship👍

In Canada, there is a large filipino community. They are friendly for the most part but it's a surface type of friendliness. Shay is right, filipino men are reactive. I would say even passive. It seems they dont have the ambition or drive as some of the other immigrants here and only settle for a 'job' and drinking on the weekend

@@Life_WithShay I wasn’t trying to be disrespectful or negative I sincerely want to understand. I tend to be observant (former military & Law Enforcement) and notice what is called a disconnect. The words people speak don’t match reality. I’ve already heard the common excuse of lack of birth control etc. What I find disingenuous is all the talk about being conservative, old fashioned, courting, waiting until marriage, low body counts, etc yet there is a large number of single mothers who say they have never been married. Also, it seems rather common for Filipino “guys” not “men” to get their partner pregnant then disappear. Laughing indicates shyness- so if you ask a Filipino/Filipina a question and she is laughing, it can mean that she is shy to answer it, or may not have an answer to your question. Filipinos, in general laugh about anything with no apparent reason. We just love to laugh. :-)

I personally believe that it's more respectful to look at the lady that you're with and avoid eye contact with another woman if at all possible. I dunno ladies. Im not on the prowl for a woman, its just not my way. I dont chase after every pretty face i see, but it also means that i know exactly what it means to connect with a woman that im intersted in spending time with. This whole idea of giys around the world, jetting to the Phillipines to find a bride, doesnt appeal to me, and its not who i am. I never had problems with ladies finding me attractive, but it is disingenuous to think that any lady here, is sitting around waiting for a knight in shining armor to appear over the horizon, to sweep her off her feet, and head home to the castle. Its just not so for me. A relationship with a woman is not something i take lightly. I believe in courting a lady, im a catholic, so i was taught to treat ladies with respect and dignity. Believe me, there is no greater joy than sharing life with a woman i both trust and love. There is nowhete else on earth, that is home to the most beautiful, cultured and dignified women on earth, than the Philippines, nowhere...im not here to hook up, but if i am blessed to meet a woman that i begin a romance with, then so be it. Im no tourist walking around tripping over my lip, behaving in a manner that dishonors those who live here, im here to stay, ive been thru the storms of life, and then some. Being here fulfills the first step i am taking, for me its the calm after the storm. So, whatever happens for me, happens. No expectations means no let downs, i know better than that. I have 4 brothers, 2 of them are married to Filipinas they met in the US, and they are my people, whom I lovev and cherish, its not a family tradition to marry a lady of the Phillipines, , it just worked out that way for them, and they both enjoy marriages that are rooted deeply in love for each other, and one day in my future, ii hope to discover love with a woman, when its right for her, and me. Who knows, i may get shipwreckef on a desetred island with nothing but coconuts to eat, so i will learn to love them. These are some thoughts I feel, and if any part of my comments seem disrespectful to anyone, I apologize. I don't come at anyone sideways, I respect all of yall. It's cool to agree to disagree. The Philippines is a beautiful country full of beautiful people but it’s becoming more and more westernised. Probably a combination of social media and the wrong type of foreigners spending time there. I chose the Philippines in the hopes of finding a lady I could build a life with longterm because I had always heard about their conservative lifestyle and that they were the opposite of women in the west. I was actually rather shocked to find such a high percentage of women with body counts just as high if not higher than women in the west especially among the younger (under 30) ladies. I learned the real meaning of the saying “the past is the past”. It’s typically used by people who are ashamed of or embarrassed by their prior behaviour although there are the occasional exceptions. I’m not judging anyone, I’m simply saying that I found the Philippines to be quite different from my preconceived notions, sadly. I will say that a lot of foreigners are missing out on a chance to experience real love when they refuse to date or even get to know single mothers. I found that single mothers typically had really low body counts, were more mature, more responsible and were better at choosing a good man for the right reasons. I have a close friend who fell in love with and married a wonderful woman with 3 children under 10 whose husband had died. She is amazing and loves him deeply. They have been together for almost 20 years now. Cheers
