Just use your teammates as bait and don't rush to save anyone without calculating what spells will be a threat to you(hex, shackle, Doom etc) and watch yourself having green days!

This is what I meant every single time I tell my pudge to watch his position. Pudge is a highly pivoting hero where 1 hook changes the entire play. But nowadays you see pudge buying blink just to secure kills and end up throwing the game in the end.

Hi, Immortal Rank 2500 in eu here, I can confirm that Datohleong got this topic right! Maybe one addition: Most of the decisionmaking happens intuitive, based on the other 5000 games you played. In other words: Once you played enough, it comes naturally (and takes less effort to perform).

@@caothanghoang4791 funny thing is I can play 1 hero and 1 hero only I got to divine with this hero while my other heroes are like legend at best. It's an offlane hero but somehow I can play mid with it and perform really well (I've never lost the laning phase even once in mid). while if I play a more standard mid hero I would get obliterated. Of course the itemizations would have few adjustments to play mid so I can be active. If my hero got banned it's a GG.

I actually think over blocking is winning for the ember. She cant harass you as much, tower protection buff and the creeps will be forced on her highground (if she harasses you, she misses creeps)

What's ur rank. I kind of thinking that stuff too. Makes me wonder tho what situation would be great for doing so and what condition you would want to do the otherwise. What would be the counter play of those 2 play style and what to consider for such counterplay to success. I play offlane and I like playing heroes with shoving capabilities so the enemy carry is busy lasthitting and I can drag or do whatever I like without him contesting me and if the enemy support is trying to do anything funny I can kill him with the help of my support while his carry can't help him. I've watched iceiceice playing defensively creep aggro especially early but sometimes he go shoving the lane and be aggressive.

Control lane, communicate with the support, chain-use the skills with the support, learn how to farm under tower, know your timing when ur hero is strong, sometimes TP on tower fights. But its hard to get out of the trash hole, i know many friends that "tryhard" and never reached more than legend. You need to experiment new things, people tend to play in their comfort zone and get stuck in their ranks, it happens in all ranks not just archon. I was ancient stuck for very long time cuz i never tried new ways, i had the mechanical skills to play good but there is much more than that. Look how he calculates cooldowns of enemies, positioning, kite space creating in fights. Thats the next level, AWARENESS and acting on it. Also, quickly analyse the gameplay of ur teammates so u can play around it. If they are aggressive u need to follow up, if they are passive u need to open some fights but not entirely endanger yourself.
