Fans may have had a "right" - to call her out for dating him since he is problematic and what has come up about him. At the end of the day, if she wanted to be with him, she should have been able to. It isn't our business. If we wouldn't date him, if we think he's a loser, that's fine if we think that. But it doesn't make it a fact. Listening to this album it is very clear that she really had feelings for him and feels the fans ruined it. In that sense I feel bad. Hear hear! I'm the same age as Taylor Swift. I had been exposed to her music since I was a teenager. I enjoy many of her songs and is still impressed by the outlier albums of Folkore and Evermore. However, the rest of her songs is a never-ending catalogue of "poor me"/"woe is me"/"I'm such a badass queen despite this" songs. she isn't upset people criticize her for writing songs about her exes she makes a criticism that initially it comes from a misogynistic angle. She makes a point that male artists write songs about their exes even going as far as expressing DV and in some cases no one really calls it out more. It can feel as though people use that criticism to diminish her storytelling and narrative devices in the songs just to reduce her songs to it being about an ex. Which is incredibly degrading to someone who is talented at what they do and this criticism has basically been disproved, as she dropped two albums not about anyone in real life all exploring different themes and emphasizing her storytelling ability and these two are critically acclaimed, so it's not a fan base bloated one as many would say for lover or rep. I enjoy this album and honestly this album being more laid-back and just writing because its cathartic and she's loving her pen and sound just shows that she doesn't need to prove herself anymore because she is a great musician and songwriter. Also someone can be successful at what they do and have struggles they are valid to express those she's not complaining about fame she's literally showing us through her storytelling that fame is toxic and can be intoxicating. About Joe. I'm not surprised that she didn't made the album all about him. Don't forget that at least her 3 précédents albums are all about Joe. (lovers, folklore, Reputation, Midnight...) TTPD is about the end with Joe. BUT the few about him are the most heartbreaking. The fact that it is mainly about Matty makes sense because the story with him was longer than what we saw. She says in many songs that she flirted with the idea of infidelity. We know that she worked with him before the break up with Joe. She said that it was professional but... There was some emotional infidelity and the relationship was really passionate how it's often the case with this kind of man. The bad guy, sexy, smart, wild, uncontrollable....

Finally the video I've been waiting for for 2 years. I had said about a year ago that Taylor Swift was starting to lose it, and I couldn't wait for the expose on her life falling apart. She's a narcissist she's greedy and I can't wait for the rest of the world to start seeing it👏 As for the joe and taylor relationship, im still convinced it was a fictionalized made up contracted relationship so taylor could get her reputation turned around for mass dating. I am not a “Swiftie” but I usually love her music. Sadly there are like 3 songs that I actually like(Fortnight, Down Bad and especially Clara Bow). I don’t care who inspired her but most of those songs sound almost the same. TTPD is in bottom 3 of her albums. Can’t wait for Reputation TV though🤷🏻‍♀️ I expected more… but she’s really talented song writter. But this sound doesn’t do much for me. I am not saying that it’s a bad album, just not my cup of tea And yes please, psychology of TS video would be amazing!

Taylor chased Matty down because apparently in 2014 they had a “will they won’t they” sort of fling that ended up unresolved. They had a situation where the IDEA of each other being together as a couple, their “what if…” past was better left unanswered.

When I heard this album being released, I was like "okay, cool". I was not overly hyped about it. Especially because she announced it at the Grammy's, and I thought it was an inappropriate time due to it making the night about her and her new album. I completely forgot she was releasing a new album until; my grandpa had passed away unexpectedly. and it was the same night of her new album. So, essentially when I think of the album being released, I remember him. Literally, to drown out my sadness; I began listening to Believe it or not, I am a Swiftie. Not the kind that can never see the faults that she has, and that annoys me when fellow Swifties see no fault in her. Like her, I am also humans and I make mistakes too. I thought that Joe Alwyn was a great guy (although I didn't know who he was other than her boyfriend). Truthfully, I say this: I think he is one of the best exes. He has kept quiet, and truly wants his privacy. Just because you are in a public relationship, does NOT mean you need to share every second of your lives together. that does not mean you do not love nor care about them, it just means that not everyone especially the media and us need to know every little thing about their relationship. it is a relationship between you two, not you two and the whole wide world. Making this album essentially with Matty Healy in mind really shocked me. I don't know who it is, but I know him from his situationship with Taylor for the last decade as well as the horrible raciest. BUT it makes sense considering that they got linked up at 2014. knowing THAT fact broke my heart for Joe; because while she is with him for six years, she is pining after another man. and I think them breaking up on April 8th, Matty's birthday (and mine) but in this case Matty's was a big FU to Joe. Maybe just maybe it confirmed the fact for Joe. and he (Joe) did not want to get married to Taylor; because he knew of her unrequired love for Matty. To think, the whole time that others as well as myself thought this album was going to be about Joe and their downfall of their relationship as well as the aesthetics being that of Joe's. IE: the typewriter more specifically. and maybe a couple of songs of both Matty as well as Travis THEN come to find out, a good majority of the album was about Matty Healy (gross). I hope that Joe can heal through this, and that we as Swifties not tear him down but lift him up. all and all. the album is I give it a 2.5/⭐5, but it is not the TOP album of her's. (in my mind). ❤

I'm not going to lie, Taylor Swift clearly has some deep-seated issues but she is a wonderful lyricist and her song writing prowess will always fascinate me. I can't wait to see how her writing will shift as she continues to mature.

She WAS a great lyricist. If you've listened to this album, it has some of the worst lyrics I've ever heard not just from her but from anybody. This is a low-grade and lazy album, at least a lot of it.

You all do realize that these songs were written long before this album was released. She likely wrote them while it was all happening, way before she got with Kelce. Obviously, Travis can enjoy her songs because they are written in the past, she used song writing as therapy , made a fantastic album , then onto a new Era. Travis seems confident enough to handle this and smart enough to understand this . I read these hater comments criticizing swifties as crazy and obsessed. I think an being obsessed fan is way better then being an obsessed HATER. I mean get a life, hypocrites. Anyway, no one but Taylor knows truly why or who her songs are for and why does it even matter? Her personal life is HER'S, not for me to judge, and her lyrics on TTPD are REAL, and HEARTFELT, and RELATABLE. There is no denying that . Enough said.

In all honesty, I like how absurd the album is. It feels like we are reading a raw transcript from her diaries over the years, with all the good and bad, the cringe and the profound thoughts, that's why I like it. It inspires me to write stories as well. I always learn the references while watching your videos and the ones from a swiftie that I like, to get more context, so the first time I listen to the songs I enjoy them for what they are. It's a fun and interesting experience to discover more and more about her character with each album release. And, although I liked this new album (the anthology version), I still believe Folklore and Evermore are her top-tier, best creations and I don't think she will surpass them, at least not so soon. Midnights has also grown on me over time. I would love a video on the psychology of Taylor! Please. I admire her as an artist and businesswoman, but I do think she lives craving life to create art, instead of actually living and creating art (not sure if that made sense?). That could partially explain her questionable choices and behaviours. I love your videos so much. Lots of love from Chile!

I would like to remind everyone that Billie Eillish and Finnies debuted their song TV on June 7, 2022 which include the lyrics: "And I don't get along with anyone Maybe I'm the problem Maybe I'm the problem// Maybe I, maybe I, maybe I'm the problem Baby, I, baby, I, baby, I'm the problem." Anti-Hero was released on October 21, 2022... and yes, it is a catchy song. I'll admit that but I didn't FEEL anything when listening to it even though some could say both songs carry a (somewhat) similar message. Now who knows when either song was written but the fact remains that Billie publicly sang "I'm the problem" months before Swift did yet the adage is ALWAYS accredited to her and her only... it's as if it has been erased from Billie/Finneas' long list of beautiful/meaningful lyrics. In my opinion, "I'm the problem" is one of their best because in the context of the song, it's a haunting moment of sudden self-realization and acknowledgement of her own behavior and how she's been treating people because SHE is hurting... yet it shows growth by her own acceptance of this notion of herself and can admit it. Its raw and can be a very shameful moment/feeling that most of us will actually experience at least once in our lives. I constantly hear people sing and reference that particular lyric in Anti-Hero as "so relatable" and it pisses me off a bit because imagine if the roles were reversed... Well, I guess we don't really have to given the whole Olivia Rodrigo situation. Now she's literally all but plagiarized one of OR's songs on TTPD. Anyway, there is a video online with Billie on stage and they are preparing to perform TV and Finneas is caught on a hot mic quietly (but very clearly) saying: "We're getting sued by Taylor Swift tonight." It's funny and he's totally joking (I think) but also I think it's quite telling... How do people in the industry, her peers and her competitors, REALLY view her? Billie/Finneas sang that lyric publicly months before TS, yet the first thing that comes to his mind when playing that song is: Taylor Swift and SUE.
