Thank you gentlemen for not only being knowledgeable professionals, but for being moral, inspirational, and philosophically sound. If all warriors believed as you do, we would have no need to fight. But as the old adage goes, "If you want peace, prepare for war."True heros the both of you, as well as the fine people at Funker Tactical for bringing us this wisdom. Thank you and God bless. Forever your student.

This video has such a resounding message. Doug and Zero's words just feel now forever ingrained. This stems farther than simply firearms knives and martial arts. But creativity acceptance and the pursuit of purpose and knowledge. I had to share this video with a lot of my friends. The wisdom in their word's were truly touching. These funker videos have been outstanding to watch. Even as someone who isn't a practitioner of either arts. It's humbling to hear these words from them. And gaining insight into their philosophies.

Respect and honor to you both. Does one grow larger in stature by tearing someone else down? Not that I have seen in my many years on earth. The more someone tries to discredit others the more they discredit themselves. In all I have seen you teach Zero to me this is your strongest message. When this is learned all else will fall into place. Thanks and peace!

A teacher is a leader within the learning environment, and example out of him, and it is up to the teacher the responsibility of instilling education, discipline and sportsmanship to their students promptly correcting a deviated conduct of a student of his. This is a key point, because many students have as their greatest teacher reference. His conduct is always observed by his students, is teaching a class or society and way of thinking, before a victory or defeat, the prefesor is the mirror of the student in training camps and socially. I see zero vc instructor does that and does it well, u know that teaches much more than you think, and greatly influences the character of all who accompany him, if the teacher is of good character must honor and dignity he so people with these qualities on behalf of all its accompanying Thanks Instructor Zero!

5:20 You can learn from EVERYONE, even if it's how not to do something or how not to behave. Learning (acquired knowledge) is critical even fro one's enemies. Once you are in the mind of your enemy, you can pre-empt his decision cycle, anticipate his actions, and therefore be ahead of him in his own game (which, if you get it right and learn correctly) is really now YOUR game! Learning is vital and never ending! Someone once said "the only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth". How true.

Open your mind and ask the question, thats how we learn. I got into target pistol shooting in my early twenties. I reached a pretty high standard through natural ability. For the first 10 years I didn't have access to any coaching. I learned from watching others and from going up to the best shoots I saw at competition. I'd asking them why they did things the way they did some helped others didn't. One of the best shooters I completed against did everything he could to help me get better and improve. His reason he told me was my getting better and matching his scores in competition forced him to improve his shooting skills. Ever day in life you can learn if you choose to observe, listen to others, and be humble enough to change. There is more than one way to skin a cat! I'm no operator, I serve in law enforcement but I want to learn new skills. When in work, I know no two calls I go too are ever the same. The moment you let your guard down is the moment your life could change forever. I come here to learn! Onwards and upwards friend.

Oh my god. You quoted George Santayana... How on Earth you dug up this stuff? I am amazed because last term I had to translate Reason in Art - a volume from "Life of Reason" with my superior on the University. And that philosopher was not popular;) Great video with a lot of points that many instructors/practicioners can relate to, because the points you made can be traced to experiences that a lot of people go through on their way in martial arts/training in general. But what is most important to me that these videos keep reminding and making an emphasis to always remember the moral code that guides us. Cheers to you all!
