I realize this is an old video. I'm a somewhat new shooter with 10 pistols. All striker fire. Just got my first 2011. I'm having trouble getting used to the safety. When I push it down with my thumb it hits my hand on the trigger finger side which I don't like. Not sure I'd trust it as a carry gun. Going to have to do a lot of practice. ty.

Such a good point, and I loved how you used the term meritocracy. as a firearms instructor who is not special forces qualified or former law-enforcement I feel that this really really is validating because too many people think that if you’re not a navy seal or a SWAT team guy that you have nothing to offer the general population in terms of basic firearms, construction, and safety. In my experience, I’ve even found that having two refined of a pedigree can actually be counterproductive because it’s intimidating to some people.

From Oxford English Dictionary (OED) Where does the word irregardless come from? The earliest known use of the word irregardless is in the late 1700s. OED's earliest evidence for irregardless is from 1795, in City Gazette & Daily Advertiser (Charleston, South Carolina).

In my humble opinion, everything counts but people place too much or too little weight on certain things. Like a judge in court has to assess the evidence and assign each piece of evidence a certain amount of weight, the public is not trained in doing this and sucks at it.

That makes sense, but when it comes to violence based skills or their companion skills (such as recognizing violent intent in body language) there is very little opportunity to get legitimate verification of the effectiveness. I can't really trust pilot training from someone who has never been in the cockpit. Even if they designed and built the plane, unless they have realworld experience with flying, how can they know?

Can you imagine if every "expert" former green, SEAL or CIA contractor do this? 3/4 of all of them would be out in a week. they use their background as a credentials. I will use this philosophy on my own. THANK YOU!!!!

@@DL_2025_A I refer to the original English Oxford dictionary. Anyways, there's plenty of suckups, being humble, that lack humility. You obviously have more time on your hands than I do. People that seem to have the free time to obsess over a paticular philosophy or religion, often seem convinced they're better people. People like me, have very little time, because we're too busy, actually doing good things.
