When I was in the Air Force, I served in Romania for a few months. Went on an MWR trip to Peles Castle. It was amazingly beautiful.

Amazing video Mr. Luxury, I love it. I enjoy reading. My favorite room in Peles Castle is the library. I could spend all my time studying the unique manuscripts-what a treasure. I am going to put Romania on the must-visit bucket list. Thank you for sharing.

There are two more huge royal palaces in Bucharest..nobody seems to visit. One is the National Museum of History across from the Atheneum and the other one is Cotroceni Palace which is a presidential palace now but has one wing opened for visitors. The latter located across from the Botanical Garden ...close to the down town...in a very posh expensive to live in area.
@cristinabb99562 жыл бұрын
The first one is the Museum of Art in Calea Victoriei Avenue...not of history...

wow the thing about the european elite meeting in the past at the Peles castle to forge important international alliances and create new world orders is mentioned in the beginning of the novel, Foucault's Pendulum by italian philosopher Umberto Eco. The difference is that in the book it takes place in a castle in Transylvania (some people even today think that Peles is in Transylvania which is not, it's in Wallachia). A really good book btw. Knowing the history of the castle, of the romanian royal family close family ties and of the people that met and stayed at that castle especially in the 1800s up to ww1, it makes you wonder. Why not? It's literally at the edge of Europe, deep in the forest, in the mountains and hosted powerful kings, queens and emperors all at the some time for weeks many times over. Back then, the town of Sinaia didn't exist (later on the aristocrats start to have villas there to be close to the king and the town grew), no villages near by, no tourists, no journalists. Only a few shepherds

People who are displaced due to the Slavic Battle would stay in the medieval home if it's closed to the public. They would be seeing the beautiful while avoiding the ugly! The palace turned into a museum. And the museum would turn into a refugee spot!🟦🟨

Originally I'm from Transilvania , and I visited the castle several times , your description is somehow accurate .... The property still belongs to the Romanian royal family and not to the Romanian government. Is partially visit-able , and the proceeds goes to the conservation of the castle, and the royal family...

The castle is in Muntenia not Transilvanya region tho

@@Boros.Levente no but you said you are originally from Transilvanya which is quite irrelevant to what was said in the vid and sounded like you were implying that.
