Wtf not to mention how many died during the passage and how many were born and bread during slavery, then to some how down play all of this buy pointing out by saying (only) and most were sent to other places and there's still slavery in Africa, All so that you and the people given you high fives can feel better, in your small minds 🤯🤮🤮🤮🤢🤮 willful ignorance 🤮

What often goes unmentioned is that out of the millions of people trafficked by slave traders, only about 500,000 were brought to America's shores, while the majority were sent to South America and the Caribbean. Slavery continues to exist today in parts of Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.

There is a difference between slavery and servitude. What happened regarding slavery in America was an abomination. Every evil that could be done to slaves here was done. When you treat a human being worse than an animal, there is something sadistic about the mind of a person who can do that. Let us not believe things have changed because the only thing that has changed are the players. The game is still the same. I feel sorry for people who honestly believe that if given the chance again the same thing wouldn't happen. That is why it is so important to know your history and never forget it so that it cannot be repeated. The evil is still prevalent today just as much as it was hundreds of years ago.

slavevoyages.com there were more Travels vs Captives brought to the Americas during that timeline; Africans traveled for work just as they do today! People it's time to research real American History and stop believe what someone else is telling you is truth! Africans were not the only race of people being trafficked during that timeline. There were more Caucasian Europeans Transport Criminals Slavic Slaves brought in and POW'S/enslaved Indians/Negroes trafficked out than African coming in. After it became illegal to enslave Indians/Negroes, africans and other races of people were brought in the late 1800's.

Why? Not everyone who was kidnapped from Africa became an enslaved person. Most people became enslaved and their children were then enslaved. Statutes used the term "slavery" "slave" and other derivatives of the word. Why are we trying to smooth over this devastating institution? Some White people were kidnapped from European nations and found themselves serving as indentured servants here in the Americas. But indentured servants and slaves were not the same. Indentured servants had far more rights than enslaved people and they were released from their servitude after serving for three to seven years. Kidnapping is not necessarily the same as slavery.

@@katieydiddkatieydidd7269 People need to stop trying to smooth over Euro Transport Criminals, they to were later "Chattel" Slaves. The term "Slavery" is implied the use of the word is not in the Constitution it was late manipulated to imply Africans which is a false narrative. The point is it's time people start telling their own Family History and stop relying on Foreigners, most were not here or know nothing of real American History and we who Ancestors are part of this land are done with interlopers trying to rewrite our history with the false narrative all melanated people were "African Slaves" when in fact the majority of Original Blk Americans are Indigenous' Cotton, Corn, Sugar, Tobacco ,Watermelons were our profitable corpos before the arrival of squatters and terrorist attacks on over 1500 Blk Wall St/Indigenous Blk Indians towns for the theft of Lands, Homes, Business and Surnames. That’s exactly why Americans fought the Civil War to end it in the shortest amount of time than any other Country, and sacrificing many, many, white Men who gave there lives to free them like my ancestors. America is a Christian nation and that’s why we fought so hard to end it. Btw, it was the Republican President who ended it, and Dems were absolutely the party of slavery, confederacy, the kkk, Jim Crowe, and even filibustered the Republicans trying to pass the civil rights act & bills for 75 days until Republicans got a few more supporters and votes to pass it finally. Slave descendants should be grateful for all America & Americans have done for them and given them. My ancestors fought in the Civil War on my mom’s side and lost limbs. However my dad’s side owned sugarcane plantations and many slaves. I’m proud of both sides. Many free black men in America were very wealthy plantation owners and commercial slave owners themselves. Look up William Ellison of SC & Anthony Johnson of Virginia who was the first legal slave owner as a black man. Don’t ever forget about the Irish indentured servants too who went through the same thing.

Also it’s not ever taught that there were many free black men in the Antebellum South that were very prominent and wealthy commercial slave owners. One of those men is a Mr. William Ellison of South Carolina. He was as prominent and wealthy as his white neighbors whom also owned plantations & slaves. Another fact is that before America legalized slavery, a free black man Anthony Johnson of Virginia went to court to get his indentured servant ( a black man ) to be enslaved for life for him. He won and therefore he was the first Legal slave owner in the U.S. and was a wealthy plantation owner and commercial slave owner. At one point, 1/3 of the free black men in New Orleans were also commercial slave owners too and many signed up to fight for the confederacy wanting to keep their business and livelihoods. And yes, the Irish people were exiled to the US that Europe & Ireland deemed to be “undesirables” and they were sent here to be indentured servants, before slavery was legalized in the US. Many Irish people were discriminated against with businesses putting signs in there store windows saying “Irish not wanted here”. The difference was that the Irish peoples were given the chance to be free after there long years of slavery were up or if they could buy there freedom. Also, the American white men were NOT able to survive in Africa more than 6 months to even capture slaves bc of no vaccines. The Africans whom were stronger than there weaker neighbor more vulnerable tribes kidnapped them and kept some of the Africans they kidnapped to themselves and sold the rest off to many others not just Europeans in the Americas. In fact, the Africans had total control over how the Atlantic slave trade would proceed and it was done by there rules. The Africans sold twice as many slaves to Brazil than the US, not to mention many other nations. The American white men only went to the shores of Africa, bought there slaves and left asap not knowing the horrors of what those slaves had already been put through by their own African people. I look at that era as just an ancient way of life and what was acceptable and legal all the way back to when the Europeans were enslaving other Europeans they deemed not worthy all the way to the slaves that were shipped to America. It was there way of life, But NO other Nation ended slavery, and gave those newly freed slaves citizenship and rights in such a short amount of time than any other Country by fighting our own American people in the bloodiest war on American soil, one more thing… it was the Democrats that were the party of Slavery, the Confederacy, the K*K, Jim Crowe laws, ect, The man that ended slavery was a Republican ( Lincoln ). The Republican Party was created as the anti slavery party. In fact, the Democrats filibustered the civil rights act for 75 days until the Republicans finally got just a few more people to support them and the Republicans passed the civil rights bill. And NO! The party’s never switched. In fact, in the 1960’s, a Democratic politician LBJ created a new strategy. He thought that since he lost fighting with Republicans for Blacks to vote, he wanted there votes to go to Democrats. Then came Welfare and other awful things and he’s on tape on video saying “I’ll have those N ppl voting Democrat for the next 200 years. Don’t take my word for it yall, please go do your own research if your interested in what I’ve just learned myself on my own a few years ago even though I grew up in the great South and am still here, I was shocked we weren’t taught the full story. And yes, I’m white, again one side of my family owned slaves, but I have NO guilt bc it was the way of the world back then. Just as free black men were slave owners, I don’t hold it against them either. We grow, learn, and correct what is morally wrong in America and lots of nations and we did it by sacrificing many many of our great American heroes who died fighting for the slaves freedom which on my other side of family, I had nearly a dozen white Men fight in the bloody civil War losing limbs, and leaving there families to care for themselves. So America is the BEST Country for all people including descendants of slaves, and Irish servants. In Lybia in Africa, the Africans are still to this day selling off their own people as slaves to others. We have it the Best in America! MAGA! 🇺🇸❤️🤟🏻
