Since I never got to go inside here, this video is as close as I'll get to experiencing the walk into the arena bowl.

I saw the demolition of the Spectrum. It was the absolute definition of horror show. People were cheering when they should have been crying, and they were playing/singing "God Bless America" when they should have been singing "Amazing Grace". I was mortified.

Such great memories - I saw Robert Plant, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Yes, and Rush in concert there. Not to mention all the Flyers, Sixers, Wings, and Phantoms games I saw there.

Sorry to be a buzzkill, but the fight scene in Rocky was actually shot at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena. I was crushed to learn that.

@bleekblock ikr the vet was understandable to be torn down. that place was gun though cuz on 700 level you can do whatever you want. But this place should NOT be knocked down! They should have placed that mall over The Gallery Mall. That Mall Sucks!

@spideyfan300 Damn right, the gallery sucks. And the philly live is going to be nothing more than over hyped strip mall. I've heard Philly live isn't going to be that big at all and that the reason they got rid of the Spectrum is because it looked old. What a tragic waste of history.

I miss the spectrum.. It needed a little bit of renovations like MSG has gone through in NYC but damn Ed snider ruins a perfectly good thing... Just like when he bought the sixers

So they could build a new one with more club seats and luxury boxes allowing them to increase the price of tickets
