Hi I work with an NGO that formed out of nessisity during the beginning of Covid when we realized no one was helping the people in the slums. And it has really grown from then And tbe baby you met is part of clientele you were in lock 456 our home base they probably thought you were afflated with us (no shade) . we built most of the structures they were showing you. Please reach out if you would like to know more about us. No we are not afflicted with second chance but they are wonderful and have done much good. If you are still in Bangkok would love to invite you to see some of our projects

This shit got me teary-eyed (a little, I have had a glass or two of red). I love Bangkok and Klong Toei. Such a truthful piece of film. Every area, rich or poor, has it's bad people and/or "danger". But anyone who visits this beautiful community will most likely see the same thing that you have so masterfully captured in this short. Not many people earn their subscribers through real content that comes from the heart, so for this, you have earned yourself at least one new one. Thank you.

Been working and living in bangkok +15 years and i been around Khlong Toei area many times..its like a city within the city with alot of good parts and some bad. Over the years it transformed from that hardcore slum to a kind of cheap housing community and small villages for workers and family's. and yes most of Khlong Toei is very safe..i would say about 85%..alot safer than almost any western city .

I am FULLY and completely extending my cheers to this channel - the content is VERY refreshing. It shows the real and true reality where and what happening in different parts of (one of the most popular tourist destinations) - the reality of life in ordinary citizens that are away from all the media that shows shopping centers only. This is called TRUE content. No fake things for once. I am personally very sick of the repeated showing of the "highlife" areas .. and nothing about reality.

I am Brazilian, and while watching this documentary, I could only remember of my city, Maceió, Alagoas! Despite all the huge cultural differences, I couldn't help but admire how similar it felt to home! While you were showing parts of the market, I immediately remembered a market in my town called "Mercado da Produção"!! The whole atmosphere felt the same, the people trying to make a living, the organized chaos, the poverty and the slums. All that from less than 10 minutes drive from the richest part of the city.

just a question about your process, your storytelling seems so thought out, how much do you plan ahead of filming versus filming your day-to-day an then putting the story together in post?
@Zak_Saeed4 ай бұрын
solid question bro, tbh I've spent years working on this - I'm still not entirely sure the best way to go about creating the story. Atm I have a concept idea in my head, then I'll go a shoot the film (allowing myself to shoot freely & not worry about direction) just a long as the main topic in being covered. Then in post-production, I review all the footage to identify the natural story. There's always a natural story, even if it's not what you wanted. Then I write the voiceover to compliment this story, to highlight character arcs and to link each section together haha The voiceover script, always comes out as a mix of personal emotion & how learning has changed my perception of something! anything! The No.1 key rule in storytelling, is there has to be a change. Hope that helps bro haha
@sebsewell6250Ай бұрын
What do u film on ?
@agentalvin4 ай бұрын
This looks great and you are a fantastic storyteller. But unfortunately the sound mix lets it down from being top tier. Some feedback. Take it or leave it. Keep voice right down the middle, even if it’s a 2-shot I/V. We want the main voices right down the middle. You could use stereo mic to capture atmos if you really want it. The music and atmos dominates your narration in the intro and at other parts. It makes it really difficult to hear you and you are what the viewer wants to hear. If you want to feature certain atmos sounds, don’t speak over them. Let everything breathe a lot more. Not everything on screen needs a corresponding sound all the time. Keep it up. You’re clearly talented at making engaging content. 👍
