Thanks for the video. I took mine apart because it stopped shooting. The tank doesn't leak but I have a feeling it's part of the trigger mechanism not allowing the gas to propel the pellet

This confirms what I have been feeling on the trigger... The SIG is not actually semi automatic, it is in fact a double action revolver and that you can clearly feel on the horrible hard and awkward really bad trigger pull.

Yes it should just unscrew, from what I can remember. I don't think there was a locking screw, but I would remove the shroud first just to make sure.

I think there is a way to make it full auto by tinkering with the blocking mechanism so it dose not lock up while holding the triger. Drilling out the valve pin maybe will improve gas flow.

Daniel Petkiewicz There is no way of making this full auto, as the magazine feeds manually with the trigger pull.

The SIG air rifle is actually technically speaking a double action revolver, not semi automatic like it claims so it is pretty much impossible to make it fully automatic... Also it has 450fps and not 750fps like it claims, I don`t understand why SIG lies like that, one day it will bite them in the ass in form a lawsuit for false advertising.

Does anyone know what has been removed from the UK spec of this model which causes you to push the trigger forward before the next shot can be taken? From looking at this video (thank you) it could be as simple as the trigger return spring seen just above the top of the guard. I'm hesitant to open it up without knowing if it's a simple fix in case I cause an issue. Help appreciated. To head off the legalities comments: it's a recommendation not a law.

Hi looking back through the problems this is quite common, I'm pretty sure that this pin is for the spring guide to secure the 2 pieces together, take out the main spring and see if they come apart if they do then this is the retaining pin. I no longer have the gun so can't take a look, also post your link to your video.

Are you planning anymore videos of the internals of this gun? If at all possible could you do one with all the components in place, the components you took out for the other videos you did. I'm looking to get one of these and running HPA through it! It'd be nice I had a full picture of the inside. Cheers.

Not sure what you mean by having to push the trigger forward before the next shot, the trigger should go back home on it's own. If this is a new gun then return it to the shop. If the gun is out of warranty and this has just happened then something is wrong.

The UK version has to be pushed forward cause they are not allowed “fully semi autos” it’s kind of like the bullet button in California. There is a British guy that reviews it that is were I saw it.

@TK7837
@TK7837 8 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris, complicated it is, because it has to comply with gun law. The SIG is not really semi automatic as such because the next round is indexed by you pulling the trigger and not the gun, just like a revolver pistol, Air soft and paint ball markers are as complicated if you consider gearbox's and valve systems they are quite complex but, are true semi and fully automatic, as the gun does all the work loading the next round. Pleas correct me if I have got anything wrong.
@TheBsavage

@@TK7837 Yeah, it's not semi-automatic, it's double-action, like the pistol you mention.

That big aluminium block in the center (working both as the blowback chamber and valve actuator) has a valve firing pin inside of it - at the rear part of it, close to the compressed black tubes behind it. Maybe the pin inside got damaged and therefore does not hit the valve.?. Hard to say - but would be possible, if not firing any gas but otherwise seems to work..

I was wondering if you could help me out? One afternoon I got distracted and left a fresh co2 cracked in the gun overnight, the next morning I go to shoot the gun and it turned into a damn fire extinguisher... It shoots the first pellet or two and then on the next shot the co2 just unloads out the barrel... Is there maybe something I can do to fix it, or is it junked? Thank you.
@TK7837
@TK7837 8 жыл бұрын
No not junk, you may be lucky the seals were not damaged over night (as they were frozen the seals wont seal), leave the gun to warm up and try again, this may not work and you will loose another Co2 or, strip the gun down and re lube all the O-rings this should do the trick. GOOD LUCK.

Hi, I literally had the same black metal pin drop out tonight when refreshing lubricant on the actions and valve and seal components. Best description I can detail: Flat head on one side, pointed on the other, actually looks a lot like this: ||======> , 5/8" total length; seemed to show signs of wear half way up like it was partially in a spring or used to anchor another moving part internally. Was its placement ever found? Wondering if it came from the top side of the shell (some parts like the other side of the safety mechanism stay with the top). Any help would be greatly appreciated! And MANY thanks for the videos on this as they were a great DIY guide! I'd hate to put it all back together without all the parts in their rightful place even if the action doesn't seem affected by it missing, so please let me know if you have any ideas on it's location.

Yes, you don't need a licence to own one in the U.K. just a min age of 18 and a face to face sale. There are a few options to get one, go to your local shop and purchase one or see if they can get one in or find a good price on the net and have it sent to your local RFD this will cost you for this service £24 to £35. There is also the MPX both come with different options.

Not strictly true. That only relates to England and Wales. In Scotland, you need an AWC and in Ireland this may require a firearms licence (can't quite remember the cutoff).
