Grate job by the way sir. I was on the fence about the tank upgrade I’m glad i came across your video. Ive got the MCX rattler and its a blast. I’m on my second, returned the first to Amazon after probably 1000 rounds or a month. After seeing your video I may have overtightened the air. The one i have now Ive hade since march and i shoot it daily at least 1 sometimes 3 mags. Maybe once every 200 it will not let me pull the trigger like its on safe i have to drop the mag reinsert it and then it will shoot. Other than that I love it. It’s so much fun

Just put the bottle on the stock. There's a converter for it, so you dont need the cord.

I also bought the AV kit for my MCX. The fill valve started leaking due to degraded orings and Air Venturi does not stock replacements for orings or fill vavles. Tried several fill valves off Amazon with no luck. Trial and error I finally figured out the oring sizes, for inside the fill valve 5mm od / 3mm id, 9mm od / 7mm id for the oring seal between valve and bottle. Would never buy the AV conversion kit again. I ended up buying a 12 gram adapter, and after some minor filing on the adapter, it fits the MCX, so now I can use 12gr CO2. Good to know about the lower fps on the bottle. Thanks

I put a Male pcp fitting on a 88 gr. co2 Bottle at 1100 psi and it shoots great 560fps with 7 gr. pellets I did the HPA setup at first what a rip.

@@mja9700 My MCX is set up for use on People but they're are 4 different Pellets that will make the MCX Very Very Dangerous even Deadly . 1. RWS Hypermax Pellets 5.2 Grain 580/645 fps Co2 2.H-n-N Trophy green Pellets 5.7 Gr. 575/610 fps C02 3.Preadator GTO Pellets 6.5 Gr 575/590/600 Fps. 4. Crosman Fast Flights Metal 4.9 Gr. 670+ fps theese are the Most Dangerous Pellets they go through Everything within reason. and will kill you. so Be Careful.

That's weird. First, the standard regulator that comes on the tank only has a 700-800 release. You can get higher functioning regulators. Most people that have done this are getting around 700+fps after changing to hpa vs the 450-ish fps before. I found the standard stock a tad short, so can't really complain on the extra couple inches from the tank. Also grabbed a full stock shroud for the tank. Find it much more preferable. I'm 6', fairly long reach.

At the default pcp tank it seems stable, there's a guy who uses a 1200 and is happy. It's $300.

just bought my first mcx. i can go hpa or co2. i also bought it used to try diffrent ideas. im not expecting much from the rifle but she sure is a good looking air gun.thanks to this video it answered my question about how much air pressure for hpa.

Maybe try the Virtus. Seems like it's a better direction. You could make upgrade kits so guys could upgrade to 1600-1800+ psi !!!

I agree.. for the standard that Sig upholds themselves when it comes to firearms they should do the same in air guns. I’ve always heard “ The way you do one thing; is the way you do everything.” It make me consider purchasing on if their firearms actually. ✌️man.. just buy an Edgun.. maybe a leishy 2

I got a Virtus .22 and am going to shorten the barrel length. The power on those things is way better than the MCX and MPX. I get about 5 mags from a tank. And by the time you have spent the money on conversion kit you have already spent more than a virtus.

I recently bought an MPX in of course co2. I have no intention of converting to HPA and in fact will probably shoot it very little (I live in an apartment, no backyard). I am sad to hear that SIG have failed to live up to their previously excellent reputation at least with firearms with these CO2 guns. But I do like its looks and I got it on sale at half price. I do have a "proper" PCP air rifle which I hardly ever use either ... a bit odd really. My primary interest is antique arms. Of which I have several, which I cannot shoot even though most are in a fireable condition, I live in the UK and so would need a licence if I wanted to shoot the antiques. So far my MPC is still working and still under warranty so if it fails it will go back for repair or replacement.

I NEED HELP GUYS so last year I got an MCX and converted it to hpa using a venturi adapter with a ninja tank and it works great!! BUT.. every time I fire I have to pull the charging hammer to shoot again. Any idea why?

The best way to get more power would be to decrease the spring tension for the air chamber valve in the air chamber to stem so it opens longer with a lighter spring and or you can increase hammer spring tension so the valve is open further. or softer air chamber spring & harder hammer spring one or both may need to be done to get the right air valve timing. This is a big reason people are not getting more FPS with adding more PSI to the gun is that the air pressure has been increased in the chamber as you step up adding more PSI to the gun, so now you are fighting the spring tension as well as the higher air psi, over stock. @@jantelow My MPX had about a reduction of 100 fps with the HPA conversion kit. Followed all the instructions. Have you used a chronograph to verify you are getting better performance? If you have, then you are very lucky. Even the guy from Airgun Depot who demonstrated the HPA Conversion kit was getting slower results than CO2.

I love the look of these Sigs but I've heard nothing but bad stuff about how much of a p.o.s they are. Sad considering Sigs reputation. They need to tighten up on their q.c.

Thank for your the info. I was given an MCX and have experienced the exact same issue you’ve encountered. It could be such a great gun, but they went cheap and used crappy internal parts vs decent machined steel and we get crap results, ie: the firing pin falling out, the little rolled edge tube that holds the seal in the compression chamber falling out, etc etc etc… I have converted mine to a high pressure external air bottle just like yours and the results were… meh… still a crappy gun. I can shoot higher velocity plastic airsoft pellets with almost all of my kids toy airsoft weapons… what a joke. This thing couldn’t kill a damn mouse unless you are within three to five feet and at that range a baseball bat or a good firm stomp of my boot is just as good and probably more effective. So super sad that Sig (who I used to regard as one of the benchmark gun manufacturers) put their name on this line of turds… these are being put into the wall hanger/decoration/conversation piece category and will never be seen in my hands at the range or anywhere else for that matter. Thanks again for confirming my suspicions that mine couldn’t possibly be the only one suffering from these performance issues. And what do ya know? I am not alone. Maybe everyone could get together and call and ambulance chased Attourney and file a class action suit against Sig to get their attention? 🤔
