Liz Moore sculpted the Stormtrooper helmet and Brian Muir - famous for sculpting Vader- sculpted the armour. Ainsworth vacuum formed the plastic over the moulds provided to him by Lucasfilm. Ainsworth does not have any original moulds. He recast a suit that was from Return of the Jedi that a fan had tried to revert to A New Hope. The people it effects are the real artists who created it and the fans who have and still are being ripped off.

@NoodleCollectors3 жыл бұрын
@@neilus He didn't. He recasted a suit from TE (Trooper Expert) and claims his own are from the original mould...which is absolutely not true. He's a known recaster and liar.. Get your armor from RS Props or Troopermaster, both are the best out there, not this bullshit.

@@NoodleCollectors well, RS Props are recasters - only in their case they recast from an original. My response was to the claim by Lindsay Muir that the original moulds were made in the US and shipped to AA, that sounds like total BS. AA made the original moulds. Whether he still has them is a different issue.
@cscape19732 жыл бұрын
I never really understood that claim, Liz Moore was a fantastic artist and expert sculpter……Yet the helmets that appeared in the film were fare from “expertly” sculpted. Andrew, by his own admission, was an industrial designer, working quickly on a “background” character. Sorry but the Liz Moore argument had never held up for me…….apparently the court system agrees!!
@HybrydATP64 Жыл бұрын
He sculpted the helmet, his site has the full back story, but the gist of it is that Andrew’s friend nick made a rough mockup of the stormtrooper in red clay and Liz Moore made a different design closer to the early Mandalorian helmet and George had to pick between them and he chose the red design but Andrew had to start from scratch cause he could not use the clay helmet and he then started to add new features to hide seams. I believe all of the details are in the court documents and there’s even testimonies

What a joke! This is not some David and Goliath fight. This is about somebody stealing the work of others. Ainsworth has nothing to do with designing any of these costumes all he done was vacuum form pieces of plastic over moulds made by somebody else. George Lucas and Ralph McQuarrie done the original designs for the Stormtroopers and Liz Moore and Brian Muir sculpted them. Anybody stupid enough to believe they are getting something close to the costumes on the original film deserves to lose their money to Mr Ainsworth. Seriously do your homework and BUYER BEWARE.

+DAVID MATTOX Brian Muir sculpted the armour and Liz Moore sculpted the helmets. Brian Muir the sculptor of the Stormtrooper armour is easily contactable on facebook to get the real story. Doing a documentary on the real true story is equally as interesting if not more than the myth that has been created by Ainsworth. Unfortunately Liz Moore the lady who sculpted the Stormtrooper helmets died in a car crash during production of Star Wars - Ainsworth taking credit for her work is pretty horrible wouldn't you say? Brian worked with Liz and he maintains a tribute facebook page as well.

This charlatan has been lying for so long he believes in them himself. Taking credit for someone else's work is disgusting and Liz Moore who was the one that sculpted the helmet cannot defend herself as she sadly passed away in 1976. The highly skilled artist Brian Muir then went onto sculpt the armour and Ainsworth was the vacuum former. This guy has no credit in the prop building society nor the Star Wars world and he could've had so much respect from all of us if he was just honest about his part in the making of the Stormtrooper. He can't even get the hero helmet correct and the hero has only 3 bumps on the ears whereas his so called movie accurate one has 4 bumps like the stunts. Don't waste your money on his recast rubbish and check out RS Prop Masters as they are from the original, movie used outfit. I have one and absolutely love it.

So this court ruling would be why Disney had to change the stormtrooper helmet design after they bought lucas films? Because the British court decided that this guy had the rights to his original design? I was wondering about that. The Disney helmets are extremely stupid. They should have just made this fellow an offer on his. Am i right about this ? Wrong? Reply and let me know.
@fosterwilliamson013 жыл бұрын
No sir. The court ruling was in regards to the reproduction of the stormtrooper helmet. Ainsworth won the right to produce and sell the helmets without having to pay a licensing fee to Lucasfilm. Lucasfilm still can (and does) utilize the original trilogy era stormtrooper in their Star Wars content. You'll see these in movies like Rogue One or Solo or TV series like The Mandalorian that take place around the same time as the original movies. The "new" stormtrooper design I believe you're referring to are just an in-universe evolution of the original imperial stormtrooper, as the sequel films they appear in take place 30+ years after the original trilogy. Hope this helps

@@gilgrissom2000 no sir, I think you misunderstood my comment. The evolution I'm referring to is the First Order design of the sequel trilogy. The initial comment I was replying to was positing that Disney no longer had the rights to use the original trilogy design. I'm firstly saying that that is untrue, as they've utilizes an updated version of the OT design in Rogue One, Solo, The Mandalorian, and others. The design evolution that he apparently disliked, I was attributing to the First Order troops of Episode 7-9, unless I am mistaken and he was solely referring to the R1TK, in which case, the updated design was done to create a higher fidelity model for high definition media.
