Wilt was not married because he was proud and selfish, he didn't want to have children that inherit his attractive and marvelous physique, It's the characteristic of proud and selfish people who are aware of their value. For all that he used to dislike Kareem, because Kareem had a similar physical, his hatred towards Kareem show to us how he would have behaved if he had a son who had enherited his physique, selfish people see theirs children as rivals.

You can argue that based in for example Michael Jordan's expensive divorce. But in reality at the end, Wilt was trapped in the cage of ignorance and passion that didn't allowed to see his own matrix prison, because with all that energy driving he could have achieved enlightening. At least Kareem tried transcend when he tried orientalism practices, in the context when East culture started to be avaliable to the West. Wilt had it harder because his ego was so strong based on that he was a force that couldn't be denied in any area he choosed focus, I wish he had learned more of Kareem which he acknowledged at some point.

I'm, "like #510." I was disappointed when the media trumpeted that Wilt Chamberlain claimed he'd slept with 20,000 women. It seemed a betrayal, an exaggeration, a fantastical number meant to sell books. And an admission of a life of promiscuity. All my heroes were falling - and have been since. I've had to pull up and examine my own hypocrisy. I have no right to hold others to a higher standard than I hold myself - and I'm no angel. So, I've struggled not to, "throw the baby out with the bathwater." My favorite alliterative statement is, "We're all flawed, fallible, frail, fickle, fearful - and at times - foolish folk. I believe there is a God in Heaven - and He will judge us. But we don't have the right to condemn each other. Wilt Chamberlain's accomplishments and the positive aspects of his legacy will remain. He made his choices as we all do, and my disapproval of some of what he did is my problem and cannot detract from the good he did. I still think he's the greatest basketball player who ever lived.

When Wilt talked about this in his book, he said he learned that it is better to sleep with one woman 1,000 times than sleep with 1,000 women one time. That makes the number all the more absurd. Wilt wished he hadn’t started that line of inquiry, and I agree. Wilt should be remembered for his athletic prowess and larger than life personality.
