I remember pulling up to the Cole on the Tarawa, we ran 24hr flight ops to keep the ship secure. Some of the crew didn't want to leave the ship when the sailors from the Tarawa were sent to relieve them until the Blue Marlin showed up.

I helped build that ship. So proud.

I worked with a guy who served on the cole. He got out of the navy right before it sailed. He knew many of the guys on it and worked in the compartment that got hit. He was pretty messed up about it

It's somewhat cliché to state this but the attack on the USS Cole seems like it was only yesterday.

so too it seems like Robert Stedum's dead body was tossed on the TarMac by Hezbollah

The news is over and they are forgotten because the system made sure the people are distracted enough to forget them and will only remind them systematically when they need to use u for something

I hear what you say BUT, it's about time somebody asks why Cmdr Kirk S. Lippold was made into a scapegoat, when he was "left in the dark" by not providing him with the right information he needed,

I did a catered event on the ship

We never hear where did the terrorists get the explosives from huh? Where was the bomb primed? My first instinct tells me this was a MOSSAD operation.
@MrJuvefrank2 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry to say that people all over the world know how to make bombs. There are second graders who can make them because they had a dad who was in the Army, and taught them how.

It’s very easy to sink a US warship
@aznravechild6i92 жыл бұрын
Except it didn't sink. The US Navy's design and damage control protocols kept her afloat. Compare that to the moskva, which only have a handful of crew trained in damage control and no watertight bulkheads.
@MrJuvefrank2 жыл бұрын
So go try to sink one and sea what you get!
@dead.ahead_nancy2 жыл бұрын
No it's not, the USS Cole survived and continued to serve even today due to it's watertight bulkhead, meanwhile the Moskva didn't have those so it got sunk in Ukraine.
@AlanHigh-x4i Жыл бұрын
No, but it IS very easy to sink a Russian warship. Just ask the Ukrainians. Two decades later, and the Cole is on duty. The Moskva, pride of the Russian surface fleet, rests corroding on the bottom of the sea.
