INSIDE the Wacky Tourist Gift Shops in Kissimmee, FL! Giant Wizard, Orange World, Mermaid & More

A tour of some of Kissimmee / Orlando's best, wackiest and most memorable gift shops in the theme park capital of the world! The giant wizard, giant mermaid, mural-covered buildings on I-Drive, Highway 192 and near Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld Orlando, that have AMAZING bargains on theme park souvenirs, gifts, collectibles, Disney pins, Universal, Harry Potter gifts, apparel and so much more!! I bring you for a tour of some of my favorite Orlando tourist gift shops to share some of my special memories of moving to Orlando and why some of them mean so much to me! This is part of my story and part of the story of everyone who has visited this area and has made memories visiting these roadside treasures! A lot of positive energy portrayed in this channel, which tends to influence positive things. There was a time... Long ago.... where kings and queens spared no expense to have muses, and consolers that had a positive influence on them (modern example.... Queen Elizabeth the II's ladies in waiting) we often spare no expense for the wrong things, and it leads to the wrong attitudes around us.

​@@SuperEnthused i knew every single one of those shops from at least driving by (they're hard to overlook lol). my faves are somehow always the wizard ones, dunno why, but maybe because it was the very first gift shop i ever stepped in all those years ago. this video could've been an hour long and you just roaming silently through every isle and i would've loved it just as much. gosh darn it i miss orlando! i know that feeling of being home too. everytime i step outside the airport and get that first breath of warm, humid air, i can't stop smiling, cause i know i am back and the next days are gonna be awesome! i wish i could just move there like you did.

Fun fact: There is also a very very big orange here in Montreal, Quebec. It is called Orange Julep. I don't know the history of it but it is a well loved landmark and a pretty good fast-food restaurant that also serves orange juice.

The first time I ever rented a house in Kissimmee, the owner-provided directions (yes, this was pre-GPS, pre-cell phone and even pre-map quest printouts 😂) said to stay on 192 until you saw the giant Wizard gift shop and then make a turn. It said you can’t miss it! Two hours and lots of frustration later, we learned from a local that there were two giant wizard gift shops and we were near the wrong one 😂😫 Where do you find not one but two giant wizard gift shops? Only in Florida, my friends! Great video, Jackie - brings back many fun and torturous memories! 🤣😍

The first time I went to Orlando was 16 years ago when I was 15. I will be back this December and I'm looking for interesting and fun places to go (besides the parks XD) and take my nephew and nieces, it's their first Disney Trip. These kind of giant gift shops also exist in south Texas along the gulf coast like South Padre Island and Corpus Christi. Was in Orlando for my first Disney experience ever (I'm 44) and saw these shops & it took me back to South Texas. Love your channel, love your videos, keep doing your awesome stuff!

We have something in common. My parents lived in Miami area throughout the 80s 90s and 2000s. We made the 4 hour trip to the parks all that time. These landmarks were unforgettable. I miss those times.

Speaking of which, what I’d really like to see is a Jackie “Fireside Chat” talking about living in Orlando. Many of us dream of doing just that! But how is it really? The gift shop was excellent. One of the nice characteristics of these stores besides the very reasonable prices is the cleanliness and well cared for merchandise. Everything is in its place, folded neatly, etc. they are worth a look. Great video Jackie!👍

I totally dig these types of shops. Las Vegas used to have a lot of tourist shops that sold Las Vegas or Nevada items fairly cheap. Most of them are gone now. 8:56 my first trip to Disney World was in 1979 when it was still just Magic Kingdom out in the middle of orange groves. I remember us stopping at several roadside stands and getting fresh squeezed orange juice.

I love these stores. They're part of some of my favourite Florida memories. As a child I loved getting the baskets filled with shells, and the little license plate with my name on it (yep, this was in the 70s). I also bought a miniature orange tree that is still going strong, and flowers every few months, although the oranges it produces are small and bitter. As an aside, I also really like the hair cut. It looks good.
