I could tell you’re not from a colder climate when you referred to the propane furnace the “secondary” heating. 😂🤣😂 Nice tour! Thanks for sharing. 🚀🦩

Beauty little unit, trading in a couple feet of couch for kitchen counter space and more storage is an great idea. You picked the better layout in my eyes too. Safe journeys

Thanks for the tour. My wife and I are looking at the same model as what you folks have. Concerned about the bed size.

Thanks for watching! Yes, the bed is definitely "cozy" in that model... and as I mentioned in the video, the "corner" arrangement may be cumbersome for some folks... as far as getting in/out of the bed if you are the one sleeping closest to the window.

Hi Margaret! It was initially quite frustrating for me (this is Lisa). I was pretty disgusted at the price Airstream was charging for the fitted/top sheet for this weird bed. it was over $200. So I went on Etsy and found a seamstress and gave her the exact dimensions (I can DM you, if you need) and she did a fabulous job at $110. made of Linen! I just went to find her information for you and her Etsy shop is now closed! I'm so sorry. I would bet you can have them made from another Etsy seamstress. Also, I just went to check at Airstream... and they do not carry the double curve ones anymore - this link is the closest they have airstreamsupplycompany.com/products/airstream-custom-high-thread-count-sheets/?attributes%5Bpa_mattress-size%5D=mattress-48-x-76-w-10-radius-w-contour-corner ... but it's not the double angle. My top sheet is a twin (btw) just standard flat twin and I bet you could get a twin long and tuck it in for the bottom. I wish I could have just pointed you somewhere! If you want the exact dimensions just let me know. Thanks for your kind words and happy Airstreaming!

Hello! I just watched the video because we are considering a change to an Airstream trailer. We have a Class A now and are exploring downsizing for ease. We have never towed a trailed. The question I have is what is your tow vehicle? I didn’t see a description, and I’m curious. We only have one car now that we tow behind our rig. To change set ups would mean getting a new vehicle, but it would really get us down to one “engine,” so I’m curious what you tow with. Safe travels!

Greetings, and thanks for your inquiry! We tow our 23’ Airstream with our 2013 bmw X-5 with the diesel engine. It’s the diesel engine, which gives it great tow capacity around 7k pounds. We’ve towed the airstream all over the country and up & down mountains with no problems. Thanks for watching!😊

In 2020 I bought my AS 23ft cb trailer. That was just before the sudden impact of the Covid19 Epidemic here in Eastern New England. Had the AS dealer known he was soon going to be nearly out of new units, I wouldn't have gotten the good deal that I did. Like you said, there are great things about the Flying Cloud, and there are some less than ideal issues. You pointed out your 'lots of storage' comment, but I disagree. For being able to camp/travel comfortably, one has to figure out what not to bring with you. The counter space shortage is real. Your idea for building out another counter/cabinet opposite the stove is a good fix for that. After buying the 23cb, I almost wished I had gotten the model with the upper bunk. Not for the sleeping feature but to turn that area into additional storage space. It would have brought the needed storage area up to what's really needed in such a small living space of 23ft. Closet space is very minimal for one wanting to have more clothing variety. I found in using my space that I need to better store & arrange items in the cabinets & leave some items home that I find are not essential. also that cabinet to the right of the stove has a door that will swing open while traveling depending on what you put in it. My fix, just add another latch which are easily found on Amazon. I also put those tube pipe insulation noodles cut to the width of the inside of the cabinet. They hold items from hitting the door as a sort of cushion effect. It does not open on me now when riding down the road. Some folks find the trailer's rear below the bumper bottoms out if on a steep driveway or poorly designed campground road or campsite. My fix for that, I added 7"skid wheels to the skid plates. You talked about the corner bed as being ok for you now. So if it's an older couple needing to get up at nite, this floor plan will not work well. Older folks know what we're talking about here. My recommendation - get a trailer with a larger bed & one that is accessible space on 3 sides, otherwise you'll be trading it in after the 1st camping trip. Folks that have the automatic awning complain that it binds up when opening, etc. Stick with the manual one, less to break down. There are small 6" handle/brackets you can install on the stabilizer arms to make it easier to open it up. Get a lightweight folding step ladder to carry on your trips because standing on a cooler or the picnic table may leave you with a broken ankle. A neighbor camper borrowed mine to check his roof on one trip, and another time a neighbor camper locked themselves out of their trailer with toddler inside. Waiting for another family member to return with a key, they needed the ladder to look inside & check that the kid was ok. You can be a hero to bail someone else out, besides your own need for that extra reach.

Yeah. I will need the deluxe models. Daddy a wee bit bigger than you. At 6'4 and broad shoulders. That will not do it for me. But you guys are rocking it. Enjoy the traveling.

Thanks Kevin- Pulling with 2013 BMW X5 Diesel, which has a nearly 7K LB tow capacity. The Airstream has a "fully loaded" GVWC of approx 6K LBS. We've towed the camper all over the country, at lots of different elevations and up & down many mountains with no problems at all. Thanks for watching!
