Hey, I'd advise against heading to Agra, Delhi, and Rajasthan (except Jaisalmer), Delhi, and Mumbai if you're looking for a unique travel experience. I visited India recently as well and stayed At the Holiday Inn at Aerocity. I love Aerocity and the Holiday Inn exceeded my expectations, the service and staff was amazing and I payed approx. $150 a night including breakfast.
