I was on the fence I ended up getting fords rapid red which is very similar to GMC's cayenne red tintcoat. but i really do like the sierra. i am just here watcing a cool vid no hate

No one is hating. It's just facts that American cars are usually on the top charts when it comes to recalls. And GM is the #1 in a decade span. And GM had so many lawsuits than any other And just because your vehicle has no problem don't justify it's built well. Maybe you just got lucky. At the end of the day quality control is never a priority for American cars. Its all about money(American greed).

just took a drive down memory lane and came up with a list of GMC/Chevy pickups that I have either owned or leased for both work and pleasure, Had a 66, 70, 76, 81, 89 (2 of them), 94, 96, 2000, 04, 07 and a 14. All were good trucks, some better than others, Thinking the 04 and the 14 were best of the bunch. Still have the 14 with 150,000 km on it (retired and dont drive near as much anymore) Oh yeah, had 2 Fords in there as well, Never a Dodge, or Toyota. Thank you GM plant workers.

My father is retired from GM. I worked in the Lake Orion plant for a summer after high school. You have never in your life ever encountered a more spoiled, entitled, lazy bunch of people in my entire life ever since. Just being honest. we had a guy show up drunk every single day to drive a fork lift and no supervisors would say shit to him because it just meant union hassles. It was an endless list of laziness that I've never seen before in my 30 years since. If a supervisor asked ANYONE to do something the standard answer was "Go fuck yourself its not my job". After that summer I had a whole new outlook on "hard working autoworkers". I helped a guy catch up one time that was behind on his job and literally i though i was going to get beat up by other workers because "Thats not your job". It was the craziest shit I'd ever seen. Ive got 100 stories from that summer. We wont even begin with the massive amount of drinking and drug use on the job.

@@gearjammergamer8560 Toured the Corvette Factory in Bowling Green a few years back. *Everythig* is done to precision timing. Any slacker along the line stops the entire train. I'd never be able to tolerate that kind of work, but salute those that do. The unions have management teams in every division by the gonads. There was a plethora of cameras throughout the assembly lines too. Nobody goes untoticed. A balancing act between workers and management for sure.

You would get another GMC? Even if you know that they betrayed the Allies and the United States by selling to the to both Axis and Allied nations? Even if you know that GM sold out the innocent U.S. civilians of Flint, Michigan? After all, they KNEW about the toxic water and kept quiet - in exchange for special favors and incentives to keep their plant operating in the region (like a custom treatment system to treat the poisoned water before it was used on their materials). My GMC is the LAST GM I will ever own and most of its parts aren't even GM anyway. Besides, as an experienced mech/tech with a degree in Automotive Technologies, I can say without hesitation that while loyalists and low-standard muricans may like newer GM trucks (most newer trucks aren't going to be problematic), but they are hardly well made or "quality" vehicles. He'll, even the once disgraced Dodge Ram has caught up to GM in build quality at this point- and both STILL languish behind Toyota in overall reliability and quality of materials/assembly. Anyway, enjoy your hitlermobiles.

It seems suto manufacturers cracked the whip in the late 90s and saw results innthe mids 2000s. New robotics do the same thing exactly the same everytime with. O lunch breaks or hangovers or worker sabotage. Parts are much more exact so they fit right. Quality control techniques were imposed with statistical analysis to ensure a certain minimum of compliance.

Mistakes happen with those laughter and happy faces. When deviation is high and waste is abundant, companies have to cut costs on safety to stay profitable. I'm sure you enjoy your Chevy Vega and Ford Pinto. Advanced robotic manufacturing is the future, and the laughter and happy faces are taking place inside engineering lounges and programming cafes.

Most of the robots are in body and paint shop. The jobs they do would be brutal on humans these days. What welder is going to want to sit on a production line doing spot welds all day? What painter would want to sit in a booth painting cars all day at a rate that's needed for the demand of vehicles being ordered? It's just no practical having humans doing some of these jobs anymore. We are making 600 units per shift in the plant I work in. Robots create skilled trades jobs too that pay very good. The more robots, the more skilled trades. Plenty of jobs are still human jobs in final where a human touch is needed.

@@219jello You're right about those task but; assembly is done by robots too.... I know the Quality and quantity arguments... I just see it as Cold and sterile, the downfall and replacement of the common man...Robots are already building other robots...Careful what you wish for. The primary reason is we have been decimated as a society, murdered enmasse through, air, food, water and medicine...

@@godbluffvdgg robots can't repair other robots in the field. They would have to walk in with a toolbox over dozens of hazards. We don't use any robots in final, all done with humans. We have a horrible attendance track record at our plant. FMLA is abused too. Humans do it to themselves

In 2016 I bought a fully loaded GMC Sierra SLT as I'm a gms customer for 10 months it was in the shop had GM getting frustrated with 3 local dealers telling GM it definitely has a major problem but they couldn't figure it out, this truck was our first to become a fleet purchase for our expanding company. At the end we video recorded dealerships parking the truck in the back and never working on it when we showed them drone footage of this with recorded footage of interior of this truck being parked and no work done to it, we were told not to return to those dealerships. My family works for GM and they couldn't believe it but we're pissed. So we started buying Ford f250 trucks at the price of the 1500 GMC we never looked back. We don't even look at GM products anymore and have a fleet purchase program with Ford to replace every 4 years or less. Btw I was a GM fan was
