I see a few people hating on GM trucks but yet you're here watching the video. I own a 2015 GMC Sierra built in Fort Wayne plant and it is great still to this day. Thanks for the great work guys and gals.

Amazing process how they're built now but I couldn't work on an assembly line doing a mundane task all day. Hats off to everyone that does that job.

I only purchased one new vehicle in my life, it was a 1976 Chev. Cheyenne 1/2 ton. I personally put 380,000 miles on that truck & never had a valve cover off that 350 in the 21 years I owned it and it still ran & looked good when I finally sold it.

I started at a GM plant in 1969. No robots then. I was in a pit with Cadillacs passing over my head and would screw in gas tanks. It was hot. The wall behind me was brightly lit up as was wall on other side. Noisy like you can’t believe. Everyone rode around the plant on bicycles depending on your job that day.

just took a drive down memory lane and came up with a list of GMC/Chevy pickups that I have either owned or leased for both work and pleasure, Had a 66, 70, 76, 81, 89 (2 of them), 94, 96, 2000, 04, 07 and a 14. All were good trucks, some better than others, Thinking the 04 and the 14 were best of the bunch. Still have the 14 with 150,000 km on it (retired and dont drive near as much anymore) Oh yeah, had 2 Fords in there as well, Never a Dodge, or Toyota. Thank you GM plant workers.

My 2006 GMC Sierra Hybrid was built in this plant. Thank you. It has 153k and is still maintaining 21mpg, unless it is powering a job site with its on board power plant, and its start/stop engine.

I picked up a brand new 2020 GMC Elevation 4WD in MIchigan as I was buying a trailer in St. Johns to bring home a 1998 Oldsmobile Aurora from Ionia. What a great vacation from the MidWest to California! My next truck will be a GMC and always the Elevation model.

My mother worked at GMC Truck and Coach in Pontiac from WW II till the late 1970s painting buses. During the war that plant produced ducks (landing craft). It was very different. My Uncle and brother worked presses in sheet metal making hoods and fenders etc. It was very loud and very fast. The line never stopped. Pontiac Motors, Fisher Body, and Truck and Coach are all long gone.

When I did OTR trucking I delivered the tires for these trucks from the Bridgestone plant in Augusta GA 5 times and once from the Bridgestone plant in NC. All going back to my home state Indiana 🙂
