wow dude ! despite having many turkish friends , lets not go into misplaced nostalgia here ! during the ottoman empire , turk deported and killed more africans than the trans atlantic slave trade . reaching as far as northern nigeria kiling and pillaging . yet there are no afro turks to speak of like afro americans . do you know why ? they systematically castrated them or killed new born babies when it was a female slave . aside from little exceptions like Ahmet Ali Çelikten , the turks killed them all .the last castrated slave died in 1970. with out the ottoman nefarious war of genocide , maybe the empire of mali would not have fallen . may be africa would never have been colonize by europe .even north america; because christopher colombus was trying to find a new sea route to avoid the turks when he found america by coencidence .we all know what happened then to the indians and to africans after that . this is by no means a reason not to like turks, but don't be nostalgic of their past, because you wouldn't have liked it .

Bro there is nothing called colony rather there is fitness for colonization. The other thing do not confuse Somalia with rest of the world. Experiencing a temporally downfall does not mean we lost the over 10 thousand years civilisation but we will rise again even much stronger than before. Our Turkey brothers were on our side for centuries and were are grateful for them. You should know that Somalia was always graveyard of invaders. It is the only African country that challenged western powers throughout history. In 16 th century,Somalis successfully engaged war both naval and open air against portuguese christian invaders and defeated them. During the colonial era, 3 european powers allied against single ethnic group thus this shows that how resistant the latter was. .in 1993 the black hawk dawn that marked defeat of Americans in Mogadishu is still remembered by all and sundry. So next time, be careful about Somalia.

+Rodell E-run Do you read history? Do you know why so many country are scrambling for Africa? When Rome decided to be a Superpower, the first thing they said was that if they control the land beneath them (that's Africa) then they control the World. So the first place Rome set out to control was all the accessible lands in African Kingdoms starting with Carthage, then Numidia, Garamantee and Mauritania. They were also heading for Kush, Aksum and Nok but the inhabitants resist Rome's invasion. From this They became superpower. The Islams realize this when Islam was just starting out as a religion. They invade Africa in the 6th and 7th centuries A.D. and from there Islam became the World's top religion until the Christians Europeans find thier share in Africa. Before Europe invade Africa Europe as a continent was a Shithole with plagues upon plagues, extreme poverty, high illiteracy. Then they control Africa and became the Superpower. China is doing the same. Before China became this rich, it was a very poor country back in the early 1900s. Then in the the 1960s China began expanding trade in Africa to the point that they are now the Superpower. Turkey realize this, Russia realize, Isreal realize this and India realize this. that's why they are going in. South America has so much untapped resources but many countries aren't going there. It's all about power and the man who controls Africa controls the World. Simple.
@rodelle-run48716 жыл бұрын
Eve-Lyn Express / You have some facts but you have put them in the wrong order. Rome and China and etc were not poor countries and went to Africa to get rich, when they went to Africa they already were an empire . They didn’t go to Africa to make deals they took it over. The reason they went to Africa is because the people are weak and have a horrible culture and it is easy to rule over them and rob them. However when Rome went there there was no competition but today there are a lot of big boys that turkey can’t compete with. One of the reasons that turkey is in Africa is because turkey doesn’t produce the kind of goods which has demands in the western world but in Africa those goods can be sold,yet they are very poor and it is like making nickel and dime.
@eve-lynexpress6 жыл бұрын
+Rodell E-run Brother as far as I know you learn history different from what I learn in my country. Rome didn't become an Empire until 31 BC. Before that it is was a Republic. Before it became a Republic it was a Latin kingdom whose people were still struggling to make a mark in the World. It wasn't until Rome defeated Carthage, Mauretania, Numidia and took over the callopsing Greek Civilization that the Kingdom expanded into a Republic. After Rome decline the entire Europe went into a dark age. At that time African and Asian kingdoms especially those from Indian and the Middle East were on the rise while Europe fell into a period of unrest and backwardness. It wasn't until the Arabs and Africans who made thier way into Europe that Europe began to experience a Renaissance. During that time they went to Africa as traders but Africa leaders were so damn greedy for the European rum and guns that they had no clue what hit them. Note that Europe had been trying to capture Africa from the 1600s and they could not achieve it until the late 1800s. The only trick they could use was to divide the people and then conquer the Kings of the difference tribes. China decline in wealth from the 18th century when it decided to isolate itself from the world and became a poor country until the mid 1900s. Concerning Africa , the only reason Europe can take over Africa is because the leaders are corrupt and too damn greedy. If Africans were so weak the population would have become extinct from the lot of hell Black people went through. Besides, it was Africans who refuse to allow the Europeans to continue treat them like shit and it led to many revolts and resistants. Haitian revolution stands out the most where a group of enslaved Africans defeated the American, French, Spanish and British soldiers to get thier freedom back in the 1700s. To this day Haiti is paying for that action. I understand how you see Black people base on the images you get from European media and I totally understand that. But I learn a different history and so I won't even bother to contest your reasoning. So well!
