Timing always took more skill. I used to hate playing quick games against friends who like real player % like the game literally pick and chooses which shots you make and miss.

there's no skill involved in timing the pressing of a button, bro. it takes way more skill to get open than to time pressing a button. anyone can time a shot, the problem is that 2k servers suck and have inconsistent delay, making timing almost impossible.

It takes more skill to get open and have to time your shot in order to make it vs getting open and pressing square with real player % and basically rolling the dice least if you miss with timing yk it’s user error not because you shoot a low % there.

Ian gon lie. If someone is wide open, they deserve to make it unless it’s an early or late and obviously very late and very early. I love the fact that wide open shots are boosted. It’s annoying at times but that makes me feel like I should be playing better defense. Paint defense needs to be buffed heavily tho. Strictly speaking about next Gen. Never played current.

I couldn't agree more. I've hacked their dumb playstyle and take over the park with an unconventional lineup. We hit every court and kick them off, then have to switch servers cuz no one wants to play us. They make it easy to guard by setting screens. We spread the floor and they cannot guard up since they have no defensive IQ. We don't over dribble, and most playmaking badges are for our teammates. The ball moves faster to the other side than any dribble speed demon does. That's a wide open 3 ball every time. I'm shooting 70% on 3's in the park while using 10 different builds.

EXACTLY Reese, if your 3 point rating is high enough, and the defender isn’t playing good defense, you should be able to make it. And you missed your first shots because you still have to bet set in a good position to make a real play position shot. You can’t just chunk it lol

not really. real player % only works for open shots, if you're even slightly guarded it doesn't work at all. it's not cheating, it's necessary in a game where the servers have delay.

2k community is made of a bunch of spoiled narcissists, that's why they're complaining about a mechanic that makes the game more competitive. what shouldn't be in the game are excellent releases and shot timing, because that's what makes 2k unrealistic with people shooting 70%+. 2k would be WAY BETTER if they adjusted the game so everyone shot with "real player %" or something like that and the best shooter out there shot like 55% max.

The real question is, is RPP based on ur park percentage or ur my players 3pt attribute? That would explain a lot. 2k switched my settings one time and I was hitting everything. I thought they were all whites with no feed back. But I have 69% 3 pt percentage in the park. I quickly switched it back cuz it felt like I was cheating.

it's based on the ratings. I was shooting less than 20% from three before activating it, now I'm at about 63%.

If you have a high rating more times than not you’ll make it . If you’re a pure sharp and you take smart shots often you’ll hit more than 60% of your shots
