The first thing RFK said when shot was "Is EVERYBODY okay?" As a high schooler who just learned about RFK...my heart hurts...his death really seemed like an extinguishing of hope. His compassion, empathy, and faith he had in our country was like no other. Many of his words still ring true today. Let us carry on his hopes and dreams for our nation

She actually had four sons- Joe Kennedy, JFK, RFK and Teddy. All of her sons died young except for Teddy. Joe died in a plane crash during WWII.

SO THIS IS ACTUALLY A REALLY SAD STORY: So his wife, Ethel, was pregnant with their 11th child when he died. After she gave birth to their final child, Rory, she had Teddy and his wife at the time Joan drive them to Arlington Cemetery. She bent down to his grave and said, "Rory, this is your father." And she started off and had a conversation with the newborn and the dead Bobby. Teddy and Joan were crying close by. (Or in the car, I'm not sure.)

Winston, So what if it was a long time ago? For those of us who lived through those times (I was almost 17 when Senator Kennedy was assassinated), we will NEVER forget him. He was my hero, as he was for so many young people. This country has been on a slow but steady decline since the assassinations of JFK, MLK, and RFK. I still think of these great men very often, and really wish they were alive now to guide us all through the difficult times our country is now facing.
