accidental due to a medical emergency. He could have had a mini stroke, that would change his behavior and motor as well. I see him as someone who either has a brain tumor or got too much radiations going into his head .He is a radiologist. They work with radiations, all the time. We cannot protect the head....I hope they find it out soon, as there is no time to waste !!!!! Fix him before you blame him !!!!! That is my intuition on this case.

If we as a society shifted our mentality about what constitutes success, people would feel less inclined to live for other people's idea of it. This was so unnecessarily tragic. And turned out the motive behind dad's actions in that case was that mom had plans to divorce him and he feared she would get custody of the kids. Classic if I can't have them no one can syndrome.

This somewhat reminds me of the Chris Watts case. The “picture perfect” family pictures, the smiling faces, nice cars, etc. Unfortunately Shanann, Bella, Celeste and Niko all died from his horrible acts. This will affect the family for the rest of their lives. My family had an old family friend that drove herself and all of her children over a cliff at Alpine. The two little girls died instantly, two others suffered permanent injuries and I believe have since died. Only one of the kids has lived a life but she has dealt with guilt her whole life; she chose to forgive her mom. The mom was mentally ill but nobody knew how bad. The mom's marriage fell apart and in her twisted mind she didn't want to leave the kids with no mother and father together. Ironically the mom lived, but I don't know if she's ever understood what she did. It broke the hearts of all of their friends. My mother, godmother to the two little girls that died, was the mom's best friend and was trying to coax her to seek help, but she pushed my mom away. My mom felt she left the kids down, but she never forgave the mom. That was many years ago but I remember that phone call like it was yesterday.

How sad!!! Sorry to hear that story as it has devastated many families. I hope that your mom's heart has been healed of the guilt. There was only so much she could do. Wish someone could have forcibly had her committed before she did all the harm to others. I can totally understand taking your own life, but that of others is unfathomable. It is utterly extreme selfishness. She also now has left one child with "survivors" guilt.

Yeah, reminds me of my family as a kid. People really need to get a hold of their feelings by putting an effort towards becoming emotionally literate, mature, at peace etc. They also need to do better in vetting the mental health of those they get together with (be it romantic or not) and leave at the first sight of shady behavior. The father must be going through something mentally. My mother was in a horrible car accident back in the 70’s where her foster father was driving the car and intentionally drove on the wrong side of the road into an oncoming semi head on. My mother survived but developed serious leg injuries. It’s crazy because she said he was literally fine, and the minute he started driving wrong it’s like he no longer heard them and tuned them out. He committed suicide without realizing he was going to take other ppl with him. You may never know what someone is going through. Praying for healing for this family.
