Another Asian Giant Hornet’s nest was found and eradicated in Washington State. It’s the first one to be found this year and officials say the hornets were not happy to see them. Last year the first nest of this invasive species, nicknamed the Murder Hornet, was found in October. Officials with the WSDA say the second nest was three times bigger and these bugs were ready to defend their home. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

Well... tbh, life as a hornet queen ain't as pretty as the Bee Queen. Once the Queen stops laying eggs, she's kicked out of the hive by her daughters. And then she dies because she was left to the elements. The workers panic and slowly weaken.

"We were approached by the hornets..." well that's a nice way of putting it. Makes them sound like a bunch of Japanese tourists asking for directions outside the public library. It's really not as simple as "learning how they deal with it". They're an invasive species that not only is a nuisance to humans but destroys native species which have virtually no way to compete with it. Eradicating them really is the only option.

I keep telling people that we have these in North Carolina and I've seen them since 1997. I don't understand the difference in what we called a Japanese hornet and murder hornet. If there isn't a difference then all these people living indoors need to go outside. These have been here for longer then they say. I know for a fact since 97. I killed one put it on a needle. Took it to school.
