But I couldn’t move even 3 feet to get inside, it was it was one of the coldest nights in Canada and I was shivering like crazy and remember thinking I’m gonna die if I don’t get inside. Anyway after about an hour contemplating mustering enough strength to crawl a few feet I finally made it inside. It took everything out of me. And That was only a few feet, I also remember laying there and thinking about all the people I’ve heard about that froze to death outside while they were “passed out” drunk. Realizing they were most likely fully conscious just to incapacitated to move. Sad to think about. Anyway I decided that night not to ever touch another sip of alcohol and I haven’t since.

I would say the higher drinking age makes things worse. It’s not like it makes it impossible for kids to drink. Instead, it drives them to do it in secret or leads to binge drinking. In areas where the drinking laws aren’t so draconian, people tend to drink more responsibly.

Let me try my best with text: In the Caribbean the saying means, friends would carry you or invite you out to do good or bad but it's not a guarantee they would make sure you return home safe. It's as if you have to take care of your own self as long as you leave the security of your home.
