Me too. But I'm planning on adopting an older kid or a teen. I worked in child care for a decade and at one job I watched three sisters(10 year old big sister and 9 year old twins) go through adoption and the day it was final they were absolutely euphoric. 💖 Mom brought them balloons and they went home early to celebrate. I want to let some older kid who thinks that they're too old to find a home know that they're wrong.

Siblings should stay together as much as possible! God bless them for adopting. Our daughter was given to us when she was just 5 days old. The adoption was finalized before her first birthday. 6 years later, her birth mother had a baby boy. We were visiting her one weekend, & were introduced to her baby brother. I wished at the time that it would've been cool if we adopted him as well, but she kept him. She had another boy a couple years later, & kept him too. We keep in touch. We kept the adoption open, allowing my daughter's birth family to send letters, gifts, phone calls, & visits. I didn't know my father, growing up. I went from age 5-15, not knowing his whereabouts, etc. I wanted my daughter to know where she came from, & that it's ok to have 2 families! Adopt! It's such a blessing!

I know someone who tried for 15 yrs to get pregnant and I asked her, “How do you feel about adopting a child of a different race if you cant get pregnant” and she said, “I just don’t want any questions from other people”.
