Finally an in depth review of this bow, been waiting for this one and you and pse did not disappoint, great review thanks 👍😊

Yet again PSE actually getting near their speed and weight ratings. Best performing bow I've seen so far for the year.
@billmcstay1942 жыл бұрын
They addressed every issue someone who has been shooting an NXT 33 for 2 seasons would ask for. I have been holding a cheap quiver in my hand, or in a backpack (Rut Daniels style) for way too long. I guess a Prime type grip is too much to ask for. Excellent review, thank you.

If you prefer the smoother draw of the Evolve cam then that is an option on this bow. The chart shows 334fps with a 7 1/8" brace height.

Got my 1996 PSE out for a few shots a couple months ago. It has giant limb pockets without lockdowns. For that matter, my Mathews doesn't have lock screws either. That's actually seems like a clever innovation.
@JJ-tf2qs2 жыл бұрын
Great video! Will you also be reviewing an xf 33 with s2 and an xf 30 with s2 in the future? Thanks for all your input
@Buran012 жыл бұрын
They ditched the Wedge Lock system in the limb pockets, which now are only available in the Citation models. That's cutting corners to save some costs. They are faster than before, but in exchange of an stifer draw cycle.

Bows are like straight shifts. Takes a few days to get it down smooth but it always becomes second nature once you drive it a bit

I’m glad to see PSE is honest in their numbers. Especially at a time when everyone else fudges their numbers. I will definitely buy PSE .

This is the only bow that may get me to crack my wallet open this year. 3 cam options. Better speeds, with higher brace heights, subtle riser improvements= PSE for the win this year.

It’s not advertised on pse site, but this bow, along with the xf 30 and the levitate as well, are all available to be ordered with the evolve ec cam.

I like the feedback you provide when you shoot right-handed. I wonder if you might be more aware of subtleties in the draw cycle when shooting right-handed because it's not your dominant hand. Great review, as always--enough to convince me to try out the FX-33 when I upgrade from my old Evolve 35 this year.
@DelraySwampViking2 жыл бұрын
Everyone commenting on the draw cycle needs to go try one for themselves. Im shooting the EC cam at 31" and 80 lbs and it draws smoother than my EVL 34 I shot for the last year with the same cams and specs. This bow does have slightly more noticeable vibration though with the same arrows compared to the EVL 34 with the TAP string stop and guide rod though. I am getting the exact same speeds out of this as the EVL 34. I would say unless you have a hole burning in your pocket, stick with the EVL if you already have it, and if your upgrading from something different this is a fantastic bow you will be absolutely pleased with.

Pse just fits me the best. I'm in love with my pse evl 32. The draw, how it holds, let down. I love it all. It does look like that cam would be a little aggressive from the se evolve cam. Probably more speed though.
@Elkzilla5412 жыл бұрын
Not quite enough to get me to switch from my EVL 34. Im sure next years model will push me over the edge. I don’t understand why they didn’t mill the front riser for a picatinny, but I’m glad they finally gave some better quiver options.

@WM-jy9dz2 жыл бұрын
when people compare the noise of bows, IMO you really need to standardized the distance of the string dampener to the string, otherwise you comparing apple with oranges. 0.5 mm closer or further will have a huge impact on noise and vibrations!

Great question! I shot a Mathew last week that was supposed to be 70lb and registered 76lb same day I shot a Hoyt again “supposed” to be a 70lb DW it registered 77lb! I’m just guessing that PSE is the same.

The carbon bar is the first thing you should replace. TAP makes the replacement. You can also get a stainless steel 3/8ths rod off Amazon and make your own if you are handy.

Watching you draw that bow, and you discussing the draw cycle are the reasons I watch reviews like this. I absolutely despise draw cycles like that. It looks exactly like when I've tried shooting some bowtechs on "performance". Yeah, it's fast, but having to fight the bow when you're nearly fully extended makes for a miserable shooting experience. I'll gladly take a 10-15 fps hit if it means the draw cycle doesn't suck.
@milesgonzalo65752 жыл бұрын
That is a very stiff looking draw, so that speed doesn't come free. I'm used to seeing you draw right handed, so to see it draw that stiff with your left hand, says something about how hard it rolls over. Thanks for the review!

I think the speed rating is 340 at 30” draw with 80% let-off, but PSE doesn’t really make it clear on their site. Still excellent speeds and over performing for sure! I love that my EVO NTN is slinging 582 grain arrows at 268fps, but at my 31.5 inch draw. I shot the Levitate at my local shop and was seeing 277fps with my arrows untuned. Will you be doing a Levitate review at some point?
@theamazinggoldfish87132 жыл бұрын
I have an PSE Supra Focus Xl which I really like but,..... for next bow I'm leaning towards an Elite Remedy or Rezult. I like the adjustability to correct the tear ( think it's SAS?), and the price is comparible. 🏹🤠👍

Don't get caught up in the Mathews hype. I think you shoot more brands, bowtech, PSE, Elite, Prime, etc..... I shot them all this year and Mathews has one of the worse draw cycles as you just proved and they come with some of the worst strings and bad grip. I have never cared for hoyt but I could not deny that they have the best bows this year. I shot Mathews for years but I switched over to prime bows and have been shooting for years and still ended up with a Hoyt. The RX7 and the RX7 ultra are the best 2 bows out. I ended up with the ventum 34 pro only because of the price. I like your content, keep it up, just don't get caught up in the marketing of Mathews, they are the best at it.
@a-aron27052 жыл бұрын
The speed gap is for let off, fastest is 80%, slowest is for 90% let off. So you should have been in the middle of them at 30

Man I love your videos but there's always something weird going on when you test PSE bows...You test the EVL and Chrono is low batt, You test the XF and hide the Chrono... Maybe It's me being picky but.... P.D. That draw cycle is awful, worse than Mathews (i.e. worse than the worst)
