I left Western Express yrs ago. When they disbanded the heavy haul fleet. I ran step deck running the john deere account for a little bit, but enough was enough. Good like to ya driver.

@Trucking_Twd yep yrs ago they had heavy haul that and John deere Dedicated. JD was step deck equipment hauling alot of oversized. Being new, you wouldn't have got neither of these. After a yr or to you might have got on. We'll JD at least.

Depend on if you went to a certified trucking school or you were hired through the company. If went to trucking school and drove each day then it should be 70 hours.If hired through company then i believe 140.

how long did it take you to get your own truck and did you go straight back to the terminal right after your 70 hours because i heard mentos try to keep you out longer so you'll do their work

@@togetunthemood43 went to Richmond term, I live there as well. But took me 3-4 days to get dry van trainer. Then about 3 days for flat bed trainer? But after my 70 hours went straight to a truck most ppl do.

Depending on the truck and how much you drive and when I’m saying if the trainer truck is good and it don’t break down it should be about a week depending on how much you drive in that day

Western express will hire forsure. Get in with them, do your 6 months to a 1 year no accidents and get out or become a trainer in as little as 90 days. I just started with them and I was my trainers very first trainee and he showed me his check stub. He took home $1600 off one week thanks to me

@@Trucking_Twd Sounds kind of like a bad deal. They want me to sign a 6 month contract which I'm really skeptical about. If I go with them it will be lease. I hear that company drivers don't hardly make a paycheck. Sadly enough Western is my only option right now unless anyone has any other companies to try.
