The revlon actually works well, your hair just has to be as wet as it would be before a regular blowout. It’s a blowout brush. Also the other ones don’t give silky smooth straight hair, you’d still have to go over it with a flat iron, that’s double the heat and not worth it.
@holyexperience1976
@holyexperience1976 Жыл бұрын
Better off with Red By Kiss Wet To Style or Tymo or some other quality modern hot comb. Red By Kiss one I would not recommend if your hair is not of Black texture. The teeth on it are wide. When I used it, I had chemically straightened hair and my hair was too thin for it, so it not got my roots and needed to flat iron afterwards. That is, those who rather use a hot comb than a flat iron, but yeah, much better a flat iron than hot brushes.

I have the same thing (tbh my hairs not as curly as hers but just as thick- maybe thicker) and I use it on 370. It works wonders for my hair like it takes 15-20 min to get it really straight but hers was like FRYING and that was kind of anxiety inducing for me because mine doesn’t do that at all. The amount of smoke coming out of that was unreal and I’m starting to think it may have been defective…
@EclipseSeth
@EclipseSeth 2 жыл бұрын
I'm amazed they made her straightened her hair for THREE DAYS IN A ROW! No wonder she kept getting worse results the next day. They should have waited one week at least. Also, she was very scared and took the brush out when she saw out "smoke". Seeing vape come out is not that bad since to straighten your hair you need to take out water from it and reposition it (you are changing the structure inside by taking water out of it). Hence why when it rains it goes back to frizzy. But since she took the brush out too fast she was actually doing more damage to her hair. If you take it out before it is done then you will have to go again, but this time there won't be enough water and the brush can't change it by much. I blame the damage was made by three days of heat plus bad application from the user, which made the results bad at the end.

I’m glad you tried this. Some advise for the next time you use the Revlon brush, always divide your hair into 4 big sections, start at the back & use smaller subsections from the big one. My hair is very similar to yours & I have a brush like that, I always use. I always start from the back in sections of about half an inch. Hair should be no more than 85% dry /15% wet when using any of this products

I don't like hair appliances that 'sizzles' when you try to straighten hair. I will definitely return for my review. My hair is thick and curly. I also purchased the heat protector and the balm. Thanks for your review! To be fair, though, the brushes you used aren’t all true “straightening brushes” and shouldn’t necessarily be compared side by side. I think you’d get better results if you do more research and make sure the machine is actually designed to do what the Google search says it does. A brush dryer really isn’t the same thing as a brush straightener when it comes to people with super curly hair textures😃.

Great video, the noise on your hair with the amika was because your hair wasn’t dry enough so the hot plates are drying/burning the water droplets ... in other words it could be burning it a bit. @constantreader4376

I have frizzy semi-curly hair when I let it air dry. I have to do some kind of styling when it's air drying, like using a round brush with a hairdryer for a blowout. Or blow it out with just a brush then use a straight iron. So if I just blow dry mY hair, it's a frizzy mess, then I'll use the amika straightening hairbrush and my hair comes out SO soft and it can be pinpoint straight. But I prefer to use the brush as a straightener until I get to the ends, then I turn it over in my ends to give it a little bit of volume. I'll also hold my hair way out as I'm guiding it through the brush for more volume. For pin-straight, I would hold the bottom of my hair extremely TAUT as I pull the brush through. Then it's super straight. One more thing (I know this is a super long comment!) I also use the Hot Tools version of the Revlon round brush, but I let my hair air dry to about 85% then I use it and use the same hand motion I would if I had a hairdryer in the other hand. It gives me a BEAUTIFUL blowout. Just like when my hairdresser does it. But the only thing- I wish it had a temp control on it bc that b*tch gets hot as h3ll when it's on high (which is how I use it) there's also only a high and low. I've actually burned my scalp with this round brush on accident bc I held it too close to my head for too long. That's how hot it gets! Low is way too low, lol. I need a medium setting! Or just a temp setting or both. I think the newer ones from Hot Tools do have a medium. (sigh 😮‍💨) But I have the gold and black one and I think it's like its first edition one. Anyways just my experiences in a way too long comment 😂🤐🤡 Edited for autocorrect fails 😶‍🌫️

The middle blue Revlon one (I have the same color) it's Amazing! I love it! My hair is straight trained from very wavy hair, and with this I don't even need a straightener having this, it gets soooo hot too, like as hot as a straightener, it dries and straightens all in one. It's Amazing! Totally worth the investment, that's what it is and it works great. If you do it correctly and add a frizz reducing oil BEFORE you dry and after you can achieve extremely straight results.

I love the revlon one!! My hair is already straight / kinda wavy. It’s good for when I want to volumize and smooth my hair.

i have the revlon one and i swear by it! if you have straight or wavy hair your hair has to be a little damp but when your hair is curly it has to be wet otherwise it won’t work as well.

I have very wavy ,frizzy hair, the best thing i find is to blow dry it lightly with a big round brush, then use l'oreal steam pod. It turns out like a salon finish.

It all looks bad. A flat iron will have to go after each brush. That will build more heat damaged, but I bet that if she goes outside it will frizz and curl again.
