It sounds good especially using 90% less chemicals, however does it cost 900% dollar more? The frame device is great, maybe a device a a hive mat also. I assume you can't use with honey supers on.

@bradgoliphant19 күн бұрын
@@jaibusby673 Im very aware of heat therapy for killing mites, and thought about it for a long while, yet in my brood boxes, I have gotten aways from both plastic foundation and wire reinforcements, so the wax and hive could easily collapse. Plus, I was not able to find any science on how or if this raising of the temp to such a degree is or was actually hurting the larva, the queen or the hive itself. So it's not a choice for me. Grateful.

I and Many Beekeepers do not use Synthetics, it appears that they didn't listen about making OA usable in the Unit. Keep using Synthetics and you will keep developing resistance, History has proven this over the years time and time again. Interesting Unit but at this stage cost prohibitive and they do not use Organic Acids as Treatment Methods. To each their own, plus they do not sell to small beekeepers. So there Is That....
@InsideTheHiveTV20 күн бұрын
We need to understand the strategy they are using. If they cannot convince investors that there is sufficient demand, the project won't progress in the long run. This is why their initial focus is on larger beekeepers and amitraz. However, it's clear they plan to expand into other areas as the project advances. I'll personally be testing the other compounds as well. Like many, I prefer natural solutions and am excited to see the results. They also have data on formic acid and other treatments, which will be interesting to review. Stay tuned-more videos on this topic are coming in the future. Thank you for stopping by!

I agree actually acid is the way to go. They want you to buy the stuff so they will keep selling it like pharmaceutical companies you get resistance and you get more and more and more different type of drugs. It’s all about the money.

Do you know if the Apivar poor performance was due to resistance issues? How do you think the device treatment improved the amitraz efficacy to show no resistance?
@InsideTheHiveTV19 күн бұрын
It might. I don’t know the last history of these colonies. There is an argument saying that by this delivery method Amitraz reach other parts of the body. It makes sense but need to be confirmed.

From what I've learned recently about Amatraz and It's conversion to DMTF It seems that sublimating it is a great way to go. Like in everything beekeeping if it was reasonably priced for a sideliner operation I would definitely try this product.
