I used to really enjoy Hell in the Cell the way it was, but it's been changed over the years I can no longer enjoy it. It first started with 2 people walking in with no weapons but themselves. The 1st was with the Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. Several good ones after that like the one Mick talks about with The Undertaker. I can't remember when it changed, but now 2 people walk, and there are weapons underneath the ring. It takes the mystery out of it, plus at times, a weapon has been thrown over the top. The old days were better.

That Hell in a Cell between Mankind and Undertaker is a piece of wrestling footage that can never be reproduced. Everything from the actual "fighting" to the Jim Ross's commentating, to seeing Vince McMahon down there looking concerned. And that was a PRE Mr McMahon. The way they stretcher Mick up the aisle, and he jumps off and pushes his way through everyone and starts climbing the cell again. At a time when kayfabe was just about completely dead and gone, you couldnt be 100% sure that what you just saw was real, scripted, something that went wrong.

The fact that Mick consistently mentions Evansville, Indiana blows my mind. Especially in the same breath as Memphis, Tennessee. Evansville is a city, but that's just technicality. It's very small comparatively is all. Just every time I hear it I get this feeling, like if I came home to find a super hero sitting on my couch. I feel special that he remembered this really small place. It's classy, it makes me like him, and that's why he is so fondly talked about and remembered. That's probably why he married a model. Dude has undeniable rizz.

He's so hard on himself. Only 3 matches & it's weird that Orton is one of the 3. I don't consider that a top 5 for him. I would have thought Terry Funk was on that list. He's definitely a complicated guy. There are layers to him, it's no wonder he has so many identities. I remember when his book came out my friend & I got it & we were both taken aback at how well he wrote it. It's common knowledge now, but back then Foley wasn't know as a literary genius.
