It scares me that Jericho said Vince didn't really know much about AJ Styles prior to his arrival in WWE.
@ravenjames3873
@ravenjames3873 6 жыл бұрын
that's the only part i disagreed with Jericho on. Vince offered AJ Styles a contract to come to WWE years ago back in 2002, but AJ turned it down because he had just got married and he didn't wanna leave his wife. then when TNA first became a company, AJ and Samoa Joe were the 1st two guys hired by TNA. they added other people as well including a few girls, and they opened there first show live on Spike TV September 2003. AJ stayed all that time in TNA until 2012, when TNA began there downfall. in 2013 AJ went back to Ring of Honor for a year and then went on to New Japan, stayed there until he got the call from Vince in 2016 to come to WWE. so here we are.
@ravenjames3873
@ravenjames3873 6 жыл бұрын
WakkymanZ: trust me when i say Vince knows more than what people think, he's a business man so of course he knew who AJ Styles was. i mentioned in my other post that Vince offered AJ a contract for wwe years ago when WCW was going out of business, but he turned it down at the time. AJ was supposed to come in around the same time Jericho did, so when TNA open there doors in 2003 that's when AJ went to TNA. Vince offered AJ a contract two years in a row, but AJ turned it down. now fast forwards the end of 2015, at some point a deal was made for AJ to come to WWE and that's when he showed up at the Royal Rumble.

When Mick Foley was brought into what was then the WWF, he said Vince had never seen him work.
@MinimiMax
@MinimiMax 6 жыл бұрын
Raven James, numerous people have said that Vince doesn't even necessarily know the people who work for him that well. Just because Styles was offered a contract back in the day doesn't mean Vince knows who he is. I'm 100% sure AJ Styles was hired because of how much of a buzz he was making at the time. Vince only needed to know his name and that people are talking about him. But at the same time Vince assumed his audience wouldn't even know who AJ Styles is; because he didn't know who AJ Style is.
@ravenjames3873
@ravenjames3873 6 жыл бұрын
MinimiMax: im not saying Vince knows everything, so im sure a few guys have slipped past his radar, but the reason i said he knows a bit more than people say, is because like his father Vince McMahon SR was proactive in the old WWF days of the 70's and early 80's just like in sports football and basketball there are scouts, people that go around and look for guys that will be professionals on the Pro level. so if you apply that to WWE and wrestling, it's the same thing. Vince McMahon JR is the Jerry Jones of the WWE, and the first thing that everyone knows about Jerry Jones even if the Cowboys ain't your favorite team is that unlike other owners Jerry not only is he the owner but he's also a manager. which means he doesn't sit on the sidelines and do nothing. we as fans just give him shit because he pushes certain wrestlers we don't like, but the truth of the matter is Vince isn't stupid. he knows that people don't wanna see Roman, but that's Vince for you. as far as AJ Styles goes, yes he may not know everything but he knows enough.

This is what I love about Jericho. He's done what he wanted/needed to accomplish in the business. And now he's in it to give back. He wants to help the next generation of wrestlers be the best they can be. I also wonder if there isn't some kindred spirit thing between him and AJ. Jericho got knocked for being 'too small' to main event while in WCW. And AJ is even smaller than Jericho. Working with Jericho and Jericho also working to get AJ's move unbanned shows his respect for AJ... which builds trust and respect in the locker room.

@ivenstorm
@ivenstorm 6 жыл бұрын
If your talking about the Tyson Kidd incident, its well known that Kidd had injuries prior to that move being performed and this was the one that broke the camels back so to speak. He had been wrestling since he was 14 years old and was not known for taking time off to heal(some of that Hart Dungeon mentality I guess). Even WWE doesn't think that Joe was to blame for the injury. The Muscle Buster has so many built in protections from injuring someone its laughable that anyone claims it injured anyone. Any bump could have injured TK. ANY BUMP. I figure the move is probably banned instead because its based on an old anime Kinnikumon/Ultimate Muscle, and WWE isn't known for having any ties to pop culture.
@MinimiMax
@MinimiMax 6 жыл бұрын
Steve Austin had neck injuries before the infamous piledriver too but they still banned the move. It's not about blaming the wrestler, it's about blaming the move.
@ivenstorm
@ivenstorm 6 жыл бұрын
But you can't really blame the move. Piledrivers have been known to break necks if there is one slip up, even if there isn't. Joes been using the Buster for over 10 years, no injuries, not even a mishap. You want to know how Tyson Kidd got injured? Ask Kevin Nash. Nash walks to the ring and tears a quad(thus becoming a monthly joke by anyone talking about injuries), but the point being: healthy guy, random injury. The human body is a messed up thing. I've pulled muscles just getting out of bed in the morning. Hell, my ex-coworker got out of bed, and managed to rip every single muscle in his back while trying to put on a pair of socks leaving him bedridden for 3 months. Stuff happens. I know the Muscle Buster was the final straw for Kidd, but saying its the thing that caused Kidd to get injured is asanine.

3:10 sounds like the Story of My Life. Until I found self worth. I still mess up but I know that things will be all right and I might get another shot if I try hard at least I hope. About to be a novel here. So one of those times in my life I almost had my dream come true. So I love horror movies since the kid especially Nightmare on Elm Street so at Rock and shock 2013 I got to meet Robert Englund. And I like to create so I pitched him Freddy versus Jason 2 but like a cartoon and think of like the cartoon heavy metal from the 80s like bloody gory not anime. And I remember pitching this to him in a worker being like move it along move it along and I was like well will you be here tomorrow and he said yes. So I end up seeing them the next day and he looks up he sees me and he starts talking where we left off and I'm like holy crap I left an impression on this guy. And he said listen I love the story that you have but you're asking for too many characters from too many companies it's just going to cost too much money. But could you write a summary of A New Nightmare on Elm Street film ? I was like hell yeah I can then another worker was like move it along move it along. Then Robert Englund goes excuse me did these people come to see you no they didn't I'm talking right now so how about you move it along and like the people behind me started cheering and in my head I'm like a little school girl jumping up and down. But I keep my composure and anyways he gives me his email address he tells me to write out a summary. But at the time I was on Percocets and alcohol like one or the other if I'm sick then I'm probably drinking or like a month here a month off you know a month on the other. I never ended up emailing him. It's my fault I screwed up. I did end up emailing them years later but it seems like he doesn't run the website or anything like that so it's something that I'll regret for the rest of my life like that would have been my dream cuz that was what I grew up on was A Nightmare on Elm Street. Hopefully one day maybe I'll meet him again soon rather than later. Maybe one day I'll meet the right person that wants to make movies and I just know that I will never make that mistake again. But I definitely get the getting in your own way kind of thing messing up. But sometimes if you're lucky when you mess up if you learned something from it then it's not a complete waste I guess. I think about that with all the relationships I've been in like if it didn't work okay why didn't it work the next relationship try something different okay it didn't work for this reason all right and you just keep going. I feel like you can use that for just life in general I mean it's all trial an error. But I will not make that mistake again if I ever have a chance to make a movie I'm running with it. So yeah the time I ruined my dream

KVK Studios™ - The Ultimate Intros & Motion Graphics Channel yeah I did, i never said i thought it wasn't banned, I'm asking when in the timeline was it banned. Somewhere after his first few weeks and fast lane maybe?

I think when AJ had that smackdown match with that clown James you know when he tucked his chin in. that put the move in a bad light

Kanekan Schroedinger it's an easy bump lol. Just don't tuck your chin and you're good. I took a styles clash like my second match from a jabroni, and id say neither of us were competent in the ring.

Since ,in ring ability does not matter then why omega vs okada created a lot of buzz among wrestling fans? It was just a very great wrestling match.
