I was driving an airport shuttle one afternoon and my passenger was already seated in the back seat (unusual). As I started driving, he told me he was from Pittsburgh. We had a fantastic conversation about Pittsburgh teams in hockey, baseball, & football. When I opened the trunk to gather his luggage, I asked, “ Are you Kurt Angle?” You bet he was, and we talked more. He asked me my name twice, and shook my hand again before departing that Easter Sunday. Wonderful guy, great spirit, authentic, and my favourite passenger on the shuttle to YWG. 🇨🇦

Kurt always was one of my favorites growing up, he was a true hero. Not only in the Olympics winning that gold while wrestling with a broken neck over that year span during all those preliminary matches and then the Olympics themselves. NO ONE elae has ever sone that or will ever do it again. Not only that but im pretty sure no one has broken their necks that many times, not only in a 2 year span but ever...4 times in 2 years and 5 total....christ. That guys been through so much in his life, overcome his demons, had to experience his dear friend and mentor murdered in cold blood, by someone they both knew and trusted (which is how he ended up representing the U.S in the '96 Olympics), he's an amazing man. He knew how to work a crowd, he was a great heel and face when he wanted.

If this doesn't tell you about the character of Vince McMahon on top of the latest allegations, nothing will. Here's a man who has worked the likes of Kurt Angle, an incredible human being, to the point of wanting to kill themselves all for HIS product, greed & needs. Many weren't as lucky as Kurt. Wrestling has needed a union or some form of regulation dating back to the 80's, if not an off period in their schedule of a month or so at least. It's scandalous how these people have been treated over the years.
@nickpesetsky1897
@nickpesetsky1897 8 ай бұрын
I get your point but I don’t understand how Kurt’s account here enforces any of that. From the sound of it, Vince was dealing with a perc’d out Kurt who didn’t even remember threatening him while high and then immediately released him when he told him about his problems. Hell I think I also read that Vince wanted to keep Kurt but send him to rehab to clean up and Kurt wouldn’t do it and that also contributed to him leaving WWE.
@omgpix

Vince is without a doubt a prick, I just don't see evidence of that here. If anything I'd say this was one of his more human moments.
