Hard disagree - for starters it was deeply refreshing having a woman in her 60's lead a franchise for once. The third was genuinely the only one that scared me, that old man was creepy as f*ck and you had a character that was completely immobile and unable to run. And Elise's backstory was realised in a really cool way too, the scene where her grandaughter is prone and that key monster slowly crawls towards her so he can take her voice - so good. The second film had a couple of campy moments though, but if the trailer is an indicator then this latest is a solid combination of the best features from all 4 films.

The insidious is the scariest of all in my opinion. The concept of death and destiny of a person is genius, i actually believe that once a man dies, they stay in a grey colourless version of the space they died in or they are transported back to family/childhood homes to stay there till the end of time.

You got “Funny Games” that's very unsettling. You got “Men” which is very recent and really good. You got “Mother” which honestly is one of my favs. “Get Out” “Nope”, “Us” - haven't seen them but really want to. “Shutter Island”, not really a horror, more of a thriller, but one of the greats for me. “Hereditary” “1922” heard its good Oh! And the Anti-Christ. 😬 And ill stop here. 😂 What about you? Which have you seen?
