So stop complaining and do something about it. The change you want won’t happen because you wish for it. Stop buying movie tickets. Stop paying for streaming. Stop buying DVDs (🤣). Basically don’t give them a dime. In any form. In any way. But here’s the kicker: DO throw all that money at movies you enjoy. Go out and buy 20 tickets for Dune 2. Buy every piece of Dune merchandise you can get your hands on. When you see a good movie, keep watching it. Over and over and over. Or don’t. Just buy the tickets. Give them away to friends and family. But give your money to the projects that matter to you. Eventually change will happen and it will be driven, in some small part, by your actions. It’s better than complaining to the void.

It's always going to be a "Your Mileage May Vary" situation with this sort of thing, but it says a lot to me, at least, when the only two trailers I've seen so far that even remotely interest me are an M. Night Shyamalan take on "A Cabin in the Woods" mixed with "The Village", an unnecessary prequel to "A Quiet Place", and maybe what look like uncredited deboots of "How the West Was Won" and "Arachnaphobia". The rest either didn't leave an impression on me at all, or more often seem to promise to be absolutely terrible. They say Hollywood is on the brink of replacing writers with AI, and if this is all the writers have got after coming back from strike for so long, then AI might as well do their jobs for them.

As much as I love a cliche shark movie, even in the trailer this one looks absolutely terrible. She got attacked by a shark in knee high water? Then the rest of the movie cant seem to decide if there's any surfaces nearby or not, they clearly couldn't think of any creative solutions to putting the characters in danger without them immediately dying, or offering them safety without taking away the tension.. so every time they faced that dilemma, they just threw another rock in, or took it away again. Truly bottom of the barrel writing right there.

@@neotek303 I totally agree. I avoid westerns for just that reasons. That’s why I love Tombstone if you get a chance if you’ve never seen it, no cowboys and indigenous people massacres.. Not one! The cowboys keep the violence among themselves. Very tastefully done. Val Kilmer was awesome. Plus it had all the big name actors from the early 90’s (even Jason Priestly)!

@@neotek303Thank you for saying what I thought. Funny how those movies always paint the “pioneers” as just trying to live- but forgo the part where they went in with the intention to take over someone else’s home.
