Insidious, I'll be honest with you. I barely read manga/watch anime. However, hearing you speak about your collection with such fervor is inspiring. You're one of the most passionate youtubers I've watched, and although I have never read a single series in your collection---with the exception of about 10 volumes of Bleach/the first volume of Dragonball---I still watch your videos as often as I can because I admire that you truly have a love for what you do. I collect books as well, mostly novels/history books instead of manga; my collection is nowhere near the size of yours but it's growing as often as I can afford it to. Keep collecting man! It's great to see how much your collection has grown!

Let's get Insidious to 10k subs! Congrats on the 5 years anniversary for the Manga collecting and the 4 years anniversary for the channel and to 8.5k subs (I can't see the exact number)! Can't believe that you've been collecting for 5 years. 1.6k volumes is very impressive. Let's see if I still collect in 5 years time. I've been "collecting" for one year only so far and I think I just reached about 100 volumes so yeah haha. Great collection video as always. I might do an updated one for 250 subs but I'll see. Thanks for all the videos you put out and to give me all the ideas for Manga and Comics, meaning, all the first impressions you do. Dam, thats a sick collection. Ive been collecting for about a year and i have 70 volumes. I've been picking up the pace at which im buying manga recently so hopfully that number goes up a bunch over the next year. i hope one day i can read manga at my own pace. I purposely read slower so i dont run out of manga to read. btw, i so wish i had the flowers of evil. but Its a bit annoying trying to buy some of those volumes now. cant find them anywhere, volumes 3 and 10 i think from memory

Not gonna lie but that 1-2 issue of Lucifer And The Biscuit Hammer is extremely out of print and is now worth well over 100 dollars, in okay condition... (I've seen them go for like 250 in great condition) so if you don't want it sell it man :p

Hikaru No Go is like my unsung hero in my collection! It is one of the series i love and I cant believe that others haven't read it. I agree the ending isn't the best, but I know of the controversy with people complaining to them about a certain character not getting as much time as people would have wanted(Trying to keep it not spoilerish so hope you can figure out) They definitely ahd more room to keep going. I have read Platinum end up to chapter 20 and I can tell you that it definitely picks up and I would rival it as better than death note. Still need to see how they can bring it to a close before I make that statement though. One recommendation I would make, didnt see it or maybe i missed it is Assassination classroom, it starts off slow, btu I think it is at a pretty good place right now! Just did a tally on my collection and I think Im at the 580-600 volume spot :D

Really solid collection. Hopefully I move soon to make my own manga collection video (about 1300 volumes). My room is just not fit for showcasing my collection atm. I also ordered Jagan based on your recommendation so hopefully in my July sustain the industry video I'll be able to showcase it. For me first I categorize by size. Them I make sure to keep every series together on the same shelf. Then from there its usually however I can get them to fit, plus how I think they look best.

A great collection! I have a few recommendations for you :) If you've played the "Castlevania" medieval gothic horror videogames, then Castlevania: Curse of Darkness by Kou Sasakura (2008) is a great two-volume manga that fills in the gap of events between Castlevania 3, and the start of the PS2 game Curse of Darkness. (Castlevania is also getting its own anime series on Netflix this Friday - July 7th, which may be of interest if you're a gothic horror fan like me!) The game series primarily follows a clan of supremely powerful vampire hunters called The Belmonts, who have sworn to take down Dracula time and again until his ultimate destruction with a mystical whip named "Vampire Killer". Black Butler is also another great series that follows a young 13-year old earl in the 1800s, as he solves crimes under the queen's orders alongside a mysterious butler that serves him.

A Girl On The Shore is not messed up at all, that's what normies will tell you because they can't handle abit of realistic sexualization. The issue surrounding it entirely is that there is alot of sex in it, but the sex is barely graphic. It's also not glorified at all in any way, infact, it's very realistic and boring sex... i'd say it's literally not even half as weird as some Mangas that don't even have sex in them... Also... The Sex in it is entirely purposeful. It is there to represent a realistic look into adolescent relationships. If you can stomach some of the cringey excuses for fan service in most Manga and are okay with a mature and serious tone, A Girl On The Shore will in no way shock you. Just Note... that there is a massive amount of sex in it... (ALOT) however, it's the complete opposite of what you'd call "Hot Under The Collar"

the highest quality manga is highschool of the dead omnibus 1&2. you should check them out.

Totally agree. Even though it's on indefinite hiatus due to the author's death, it's still one of the most cost effective purchases you could make. 4 volumes per omnibus, hardcover, full colour, giant high quality pages and a lot of extra content :]

dude you should totally try some other manga like chihayafuru, a great josei manga with endearing characters and some romance. it is labeled as a sports manga though because of the japanese card game they play. also, check out diamond no ace. its a lot better than haikyuu and kuroko no basket and is more similar to haikyuu. ashita no joe is a classic boxing anime that not even ippo can be compared to it. simply a masterpiece. ping pong is also a character driven masterpiece like ashita no joe.

Is it something where you typically pick up one or two a week or wait and budget out for a bulk order here and there?
