Morrissey - Christian Dior | Reaction! (Gorgeous)

Even though I felt like I was losing my voice, I talked enough for this video to be 16 minutes long. I guess I really just wanted to talk about these lyrics. Does Moz really hate Christian, or was this done while his tongue was in his cheek? Maybe a little bit of both? Does Moz see some of himself in Christian? "Wasting" away your life at your craft and never giving time for your real self. Either way, his voice is gorgeous on this. I forgot to mention, but I love his control and fluctuations.

Good Evening Nick from England. I've watched and enjoyed your Morrissey reactions for many many moons. Thank you for your dedicated passion! I thoroughly enjoy every song, post, every analysis. Christian Dior is a not-so-long forgotten gem. What other human could have possibly written about someone from this deliciously obtuse perspective?! I was wondering if you have reacted to Journalists Who Lie, surely one of M's most divisive b-sides? Also, have you seen the rather bizarre spoken-word version videos of songs from WPINOYB? Such a beautiful and interesting song! I think he’s seeing that they are both artists driven by the necessity to create rather than leading a conventional “normal man” life. Christian Dior lived through 2 world wars and was defining his career during the complexities of the Nazi occupation of France…. Great series about this aspect of Christian’s life - The New Look, worth watching. I think Moz can relate to his sensitivity as a man and how he didn’t fit into any of the cultural norms - thank goodness for their incredible creative talents and their discipline to keep going regardless!
