wow. I realise, i have insomnia because i dont want to go to sleep. The reason is that i dont feel satisfied with my day because im not living the life i want to live or doing what i want to do.... I cant accept that the day is over when i havent done anything that feels significant or meaningful...

I have been dealing with insomnia for about 6 months now. One thing that i have only realized, is that reducing the anxiety and energy fighting it makes the world of difference. The day after a sleepless night is 5x easier if you can reduce anxiousness. Accept it, then you will stop fearing it so much, then you start sleeping better. Still a work in progress for me but things are improving
@your-alter-ego78952 жыл бұрын
yes, i developed anxiety attacks due to the 'inability' to fall asleep. i could reduce them again thank god, i am still clueless on how exactly i can relief the resistance or as teal says how to find out what the discordance is. i have so no clue. sometimes i think there is still something on my mind that stresses me out and is not fully expressed yet, or i would still want to do something and i dont know what?! im so exhausted of all that. its horrible

THIS MAKES SO MUCH SENSE. think about how easy it is to pull all nighters or just to heal injuries when were children, because when were still young we have yet to be fully socialized and thus still retain a strong connection to our higher self. This also explains why as kids everything looks saturated in color and life seems chaotic and surreal, because at the time, mindset and level of connection; it was.

I am ever so grateful to you Teal. You speak on ideas that I always wondered but never found validation for anywhere else. My experiences with the bipolar paradigm got me to start doubting whether what you describe as positive sleep exists, as doctors say that mania tends to be caused by lack of sleep. But I know from experience all through childhood/teenhood that one can also be energized throughout the night not needing sleep. I suspect if this is more common with artists/writers. The way I see it there's no point to forcing it (forcing anything really). If your body wants sleep it will show you. Otherwise...go do that thing you love and need you've been meaning to do but just haven't!

i seen this video before but forgot. I'm a tactile learner so i wrote all the info down lol. but this time I figured out the internal issue with sleep. as a child my family would all watch tv in the evening. then commercials came and exactly at 8 pm a small program of a puppet show for kids would come on singing a song about going to sleep. my family would all laugh and redicule me and i would go to my room crying and sometimes screaming. ever since I've had problems sleeping. they would say i had problems waking up because i would often go to class late but now as an adult it's really insomnia.

I propably don't have insomnia, but I go to sleep only each other night. I feel enough energy to be awake the other nights and I enjoy that I have time just for myself to do things I am passionate about without being interrupted and limited by timetable of society around, but I am not sure if it's good for my health to get only one (8 hours long) session of sleep during every 48 hours. When I try to go to sleep at those nights when I am 'not supposed to sleep', my mind is always producing new ideas that are keeping me awake and motivating me to get out of bed and do something productive and invest some energy in my hobbies, so I end up having another all nighter. But when I go to sleep after those cca 40 hours of being awake I can fall asleep really well. I guess it is because I don't have really exhausting everyday lifestyle and I don't get that energy deficit as often as mediocre person. Also I can't really think of any contradictions that I may experience within myself, so there is no conflict at all that could cause me to not want to sleep at some nights. It's more like I am too motivated to staying awake and I don't really feel any pressure or reason to go to sleep every single night. I just want to know whether I should keep maintaining my sleep schedule or if it's harmful to my health or something to be regularly awake for that long? Thanks in advance for any kind of advice or answer. Also I can't speak English very well, so sorry for that :-)

teal swan, I'm trying to heal and clear my throat chakra and in your video on how to do so you said to use lots of blue colors, to surround yourself with your intuitive choice of blue. but I suffer from insomnia you mentioned that the color blue causes you to stay awake. (quality) sleep is a serious issue and not something to be comical about. It turns out many accidents in traffic are due to sleep deficiency which leads to reduced alert focus. Also prolonged exposure to negative stress without taking adequate time to relax and recover can cause the program of the sympathic nervous system to go in overdrive (i.e. being in nonstop survival mode) which results in not being able to wind down at the end of the day. The negative effects of stress, when untreated, will accumulate in the system and there's where the symptoms of ill health manifest, you can't sleep for instance. Also, blue lights of electronic devices can supress melatonin production at night fooling the pineal gland into thinking it's still daytime. Certain apps like f.lux can automatically change the radiation of your mobile devices into red light, which is more pleasurable to the eyes in the evening (it's not natural (read: confusing) to be exposed to bright lights in the evening as if you were looking into the sunlight). Therefore it's highly *recommended* to turn off all or as much electronic devices at night as possible, sleep in complete darkness, stay away from sugar, coffee, tea containing teine, alcohol in the evening to enjoy a more deeply, restful, recuperative sleep. And, try to meditate a few minutes before bedtime. This habit can do wonders for your night rest, making you feel more recuperated in the morning. Soundhealing applications for sleep (Delta brainwaves frequencies) can assist the brain in falling asleep, also. 😴 This is a summary of what Teal more or less says before I pressed play. One of the most important keys is sleep hygiene.😉

Some nice ideas..about getting to the 'real you' in sleep, and that sounds comforting! I find though that i sleep better the closer i get to the two combining EXCEPT in a recent situation where I knew I was in love with someone, and they were with me, but the age difference was large. I can remember being her age. She cant remember being my age. I can easily imagine we are similar in sleep. The incompatibility dissolved in my sleep. We didnt bridge the gap in real life.

Write on a pen & paper the conflict between your essence and your temporal self. Think or say or write or do anything that will stop this tug of war. Drastic step- wake up for 36 hours and then keep an alarm and go to sleep at that exact time every single day. Meditate. Positive spiral. Think obsessive about something positively. Avoid blue lights. no electronic ritual. Bedtime ritual for sleeping and relaxation. Why do I want to sleep? And try to achieve that through any means other than sleep.
