Even after a million times that I've listend to it, this song hits me hard. It is making me sad, but in a good way. It talks to the soul in a way like nothing else does. The music of Insomnium is just incredibly beautiful.

This song has been the way I felt for years but having my girl here and knowing my kids need me, it became a different feeling. A feeling of power that they need me. I need to be more. I can't stay in the sorrow, that I need to fight onwards. It's all ephemeral so why hold back? Don't hold off in your sleep, keep pushing forward, break through the primeval dark, be the star they need even as pale or faint as you may be, you are the star in many lives. I've ranted a bit, thrown in a few references but I think I made my point. Insomnium aren't about giving up, more so accepting the impossible and then making it work. I'm a bit drunk but that is the message I leave you all with assuming it makes sense. Be the dark star you need, slow down if you need and if you feel weighed down then rethink everything and take hold of what takes you there and makes you who you are. BE THE PERSON YOU ARE. Don't let reason or circumstances hold you back. Idk, I've always thought this and thought it was something everyone needed to know
