the layering and the depth of this cannot be described.two seconds into the music and i got goosebumps and shivers everywhere...not to mention the standard insomnium melancholy.last time i was this hyped for an album was for omnium gatherum's ,,beyond'',which has proven to be one of the best melodeath albums in the last decade or so,but this - this threatens to top every OG and insomnium work altogether. 23.09.2016 CANT COME FAST ENOUGH

Well, try to understand my point of view: Insomnium is one of the bestest bands in the genre. Because any band is better or worse, they're different. Metal is underrated enough to the point where, people shouln't make hierarquies or saying: "This band is better than this one...", because, in my honest opinion, Insomnium has no band who you can compare to, because of its particularities. Listening to Dark Tranquillity, Be'lakor, and many others and you'll see what I'm talking about. About the 40 minute song, it's something that is making me so HYPED! Greets man! ;)

I can't wait till I finally get to see them live during their Europe tour in January! The last time they were in The Netherlands (my home country) I couldn't go due to the circumstances. I had just gotten into the band after hearing Shadow of the Dying sun and they were touring as a side act to another band. Wish I could have gone there. But it looks like I'll still get the chance to see them and I am hyped as fuck!

Can't wait for this. A french band (dionysos) made something similar. Their singer wrote a novel (La mechanique du coeur // The heart's mecanism) to accopany their CD. It was not one long song, but a quite similar concept. And it was damn awesome. Vikings Stories + Insomnium, that's should be everyone's state of mind when visiting Finland :-)
