IronDream234 Vektor-Terminal Redux is 1. and Revocation's, in mourning's, belakor's albums and some others come really close. Gojira and Fallujah were bit dissappointing though but still good.

Insomnium, and omnium gatherum are my two most favorite bands in the world, and i agree when you say it sounds like omnium gatherum. Some people are not to happy about it but, i? i have a feeling this could be the next best thing to happen to the world. i have a feeling this new album will be a ground breaking masterpiece.

Also love both bands man. But personaly I don't think its good that Insomnium has that OG elements brought by Vanhala. Album by album it's strating to sound less Insomnium-ish and as a die hard fan I dislike this direction. Not that I am close-minded. It's cause I love to death their albums before Shadows Of The Dying Sun.

Oh, it's Swano mixing. No wonder the production sounds bad. The drums are so flat it's painful. But hey, everyone wants to have Swano mixing because it's Swano. He's the best. Right?... ... Right?

I'm also using good equipment, be it speakers or headphones, and 90% of Swano's albums sound just bad regardless of what I'm listening it on.

For me this sounds way more flat than Shadows of the Dying Sun. That album's production was rather OK-ish.

You think so? I thought that Shadows of the Dying Sun sounded absolutely horrendous. Fantastic album, don't get me wrong, but the lack of headroom killed it and it sounded really muddled and harsh. It'll be interesting to hear the entirety of this record as they seem to have explored a lot of different styles, so I can see why the production and mixing of this album would be challenging.
