I am still uncertain if Brandihild was a failure to make a holistic detective and accidentally made a super-rational detective, or if he really is a lesser imitation and Hildibrand is secretly truly capable of these things. Also, I hope that kick was a tease of Blitzball.

Ah how I miss Delion's AJ voice. I wish Mathas continued playing FFXIV so he can experience this questline. That duty was definitely the highlight of this patch. Glad we got to see a fraction of Godbert's power - I can't imagine what a duty from Hildi's mom would look like. 20:55 New mount! 25:21 The sound effect sells it. Definitely winced when I first watched this. Also I expected Brandhild to be an evil clone, but this was also a great outcome. 38:55 😆 44:55 Didn't actually expect to show himself to everyone. I suspect they'll do something with him in the next Hildi episode. And even if they don't do anything with him afterwards it'd be just as amusing. 53:06 57:20 Just his normal LB1 59:10 They knew what they were doing with that shot. Also that Jecht Shot was great - looks even better as a lala. Just needed the midair spin before the kick. 1:05:20 Still curious how this'll pay off in the end. 1:15:07 Glad Jesse included this here too.

Anyone else think that the mystery man that was talking to Lugae might be Baigan? Would fit the FF4 tie in with Lugae, and be the setup for the "Primal Trial" that sometime shows up in Hildibrand quests (Arr and Stormblood)

my first initial thought when i got to that fight was "are you SURE you want to trust me with this much power Yoshi-P? o_o". needless to say, it was my favorite solo duty battle. a LOT of hysterical moments, and i'm almost caught up with the side story too.

A question for anyone that is watching this, when he went into the duty, the pet hotbar replaced his Hotbar 1 which is nice cuz he can use his normal key binds. When I do these types of duties, my hotbar 1 remains normal and I gotta use the pet hotbar to do the duty attacks (and I do not have that hotbar keybound as i rarely use it). How do you get it to actually replace your Hotbar 1 while in the duty? I see when he left, his hotbars went back to normal. I need this in my life...lol
