I''ve only just come across John Seed & this book (which I've just ordered) through looking into Diebenkorn. I'm so excited as to how this relates so much to how I've always worked & am now dedicating more time to developing. Thank you both for a great talk!

There is an abstraction that lies between the figurative and the non-objective approach and that is the psychological distortions as painted by Picasso also a form of abstraction..

Thank you deeply for this resource John. I've been a studying artist for a number of years, and have always felt a bone deep conflict in my love of art and painting, and a sense of exhaustion at so much of what I see. I'm an admirer of the painters Andrew Salgado and Simon Birch, and now with your insight I can better define why that is, and can begin to find my own identity as an artist - that blend of subjectivity and industry that speaks to the human hand, and finding meaning and identity in such a distracted time. I fondly call this practise in art as a return to simpler ways. I look forward to your next publication.
