Sorry....to much musician in me....on the one hand its so nice to see young people bringing this music and dance to light. That said, very staid...not like it was in the dance halls of old. Mixed emotions here.

I wonder if people know who, where, and when Lindy hopping came about. No hate or discrimination at all but it's crazy to only see white people really competing in Lindy hopping comps.

I can't speak to the general public but a lot of the Lindy Hoppers you see here and a major part of the community realize this. For me, I know that you cannot do this dance unless you know the past and understand the culture of Lindy Hop is Black.

7 out of 16 (almost 50%) competitors are not white. i guess the other minorities don’t count huh? are we invisible to you?
